The 120° stereo microphones can be set up in A/B or X/Y configurations for flexible audio recording options. A 1/4-inch thread on the base of the unit makes it easy to mount on tripods and other support accessories, like action camera mount systems, and guitar clamps, giving you plenty of ways to capture incredible content.

The Q4n Handy Recorder has a 160° wide angle lens to capture more of the scene whether you’re in the studio or on stage. Its fast f2.0 aperture offers excellent lowlight performance, great for concert and club lighting. A 5-step digital zoom feature lets you pull your focus in to a narrower field of view for times when tighter, more dramatic framing is needed.

Full HD and 2.3K Video Recording

Choose from full HD or 2.3K video recording, both at up to 30 fps. The higher 2304 x 1296 resolution is perfect when you need to crop in or reframe a shot while editing. A variety of file formats lets you customise how you record. Shoot in lower resolution WVGA formats for smaller files and quicker uploads, better for instant sharing uploads and v-logging with reduced post processing time.

High-Quality Stereo Sound

The built in pop-up microphones capture superb 24-bit/96 kHz audio and can switch from A/B to X/Y stereo recording. This lets you customise how the Q4n captures sound based on the environment you’re in. Use A/B for ambient recording, like meetings or lectures, or go with X/Y for musical performances, interviews, and video blogs.

Audio-Only Recording Option

Record audio and video together, or use the audio-only option to save tracks in uncompressed WAV or compressed AAC formats. The Zoom Q4n comes with a windscreen for outdoor use and a low cut filter that eliminates low frequency noise.

Rotating 2-Inch Touchscreen and One-Button Recording

An LCD touchscreen provides intuitive control and navigation of the Q4n’s settings and menus. The screen also rotates, allowing you to see what you’re recording from almost any angle. A self-timer and one-button operation make it easy for solo users, even when recorder is mounted.

Webcam Functionality

Connect the Qn4 to a computer with the included USB cable and it can be used as a high quality webcam that simultaneously streams 720p video and 16-bit/48 kHz audio. The versatile recorder is compatible with streaming applications like USTREAM Producer, Flash Live Media Encoder and Skype; it can even be used as a USB microphone for your computer.

Lighting Pre-Sets and Connectivity

Ten different pre-sets give you flexibility in almost any location, designed to help compensate for lowlight environments, like concert halls, music clubs, or even just your living room. A micro-HDMI port connects the recorder to your HDTV so you can easily review footage. There’s also a headphone jack for better audio monitoring and 3.5mm mic input for external microphone use.

Long-Lasting Rechargeable Battery

The lightweight recorder is powered by a single, rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can provide up to 3 hours of runtime when shooting at 720p /30fps. The battery can be recharged by a USB cable connected to your computer or an optional AC adapter.
