The Zoom H1N Digital Recorder makes it easy to record professional quality audio, perfect for interviews, music, and videos. The microphones are set in an X/Y configuration and can capture stereo sound at up to 24-bit/96 kHz. Offering a distortion free signal up to 120 dB SPL, the on-board limiter produces clean recordings. This is further enhanced by the low-cut filter, which reduces low frequency rumbles and pops. The digital recorder also features an LCD screen and one touch controls so it’s easy to set up, record and transfer your data.
X/Y Microphone Configuration
The Zoom H1N arranges its two microphones in an X/Y configuration at a 90o angle for optimal stereo sound. Thanks to this bidirectional composition, the microphones can record and reproduce sound with greater depth and accuracy, ideal to capture music and ambience.
High Quality Audio Recording
Switch between WAV format up to 24-bit/96kHz, ideal for high-quality audio capture and editing, and MP3 recording up to 320kbps to maximise speed and storage. Synching audio with video is easy thanks to the built-in tone generator and the ability to add audio markers to WAV files, perfect for filmmakers and interviewers.
Low Cut Filter and Limiter
Equipped with an on-board limiter, the H1N can withstand 120 dB SPL of sound pressure, ideal for concerts and loud recordings without distortion. The digital recorder also features a low-cut filter to minimise sound distortions at low frequencies such as rumbling and pops, allowing you to achieve clear recordings even in windy conditions.
Speed Control and Voice Emphasiser
The Zoom H1N allows you to control the playback speed without changing the audio pitch, perfect for transcribing music and interviews. Combined with the Voice Emphasiser Filter, you can record and listen to interviews, dialogue, and vocal performances with clarity and precision.
Overdubbing and Auto Record
Create fuller sounding audio on location with the new overdubbing feature which lets you record an unlimited number of layers over your existing files. Other modes include self-timer, auto-record, and a pre-record function which captures the few seconds of audio just before you hit the record button, perfect for making sure you’ve captured everything you need.
1.25-inch LCD Display
The Zoom digital recorder features a backlit monochrome 1.25-inch screen that’s easy to read in low light and sunlit conditions. The LCD screen displays settings and options in a user-friendly format, making it quick and easy to access and select from the H1N’s range of features.
Simplified Controls and Interface
The redesigned button interface allows you to easily operate the H1N recorder with one hand. The simple design makes changing format and controlling audio input and output intuitive and quick, so you can spend more time recording and less time setting up.
10 Hour Recording Time and microSD Compatibility
Compatible with microSD/SDHC cards up to 32GB, the Zoom audio recorder makes it easy to store and transfer your recordings. With just two standard AAA batteries, you can record for up to 10 hours uninterrupted, perfect for a whole day’s production.
Stereo Line-In and Line-out jacks
It’s easy to use the H1N with your other recording accessories thanks to the 3.5mm jacks on either side of the unit. The line-in jack lets you plug in an external microphone or connect directly to a sound source, like a guitar, while also doubling as another power source outlet. Line-out lets you monitor recordings with external headphones or project your audio over a set of speakers.
USB 2.0 Port and Recording Software
The USB 2.0 Port makes it easy to transfer files without a microSD card reader. Using the USB port, audio can also be recorded at the sample rates of 44.1 or 48 kHz and at 16-bit resolution. The Zoom H1N also comes with music production and audio editing software so you’re ready to remix your recordings out of the box.
Compact and Lightweight Form Factor
The H1N Zoom Recorder has a slim and compact build that can easily fit into your pocket or bag. It’s also lightweight and unobtrusive even while it’s in use, making it a great tool for anyone looking to record high quality audio for a huge variety of applications.
