Ultra-Wide Angle Focal Range
The Tamron 20mm f/2.8 Di III OSD Lens represents the evolution of Tamron’s Sony FE mount range. Distilling all they’ve learnt from their award-winning zoom lenses, the 20mm is an uncompromising piece of kit that is perfect for landscapes and ultra-wide angle photography.
Compact, Lightweight Design
Its fixed 20mm focal range reduces the size and complexity without sacrificing optical clarity and autofocusing performance. Perfect for travel, the compact lens measures only 6.4cm in length and weighs a mere 0.220kg, making it an ideal pairing with the compact Sony Alpha Mirrorless range.
1:2 Magnification Ratio
An impressive 1:2 magnification ratio allows you to get as close as 11cm from your subject and expanding your creative options with compositions that were previously unachievable. The impressive minimum focus distance allows you to fill the frame, even when shooting small objects, allowing you to play with dramatic perspectives for unique images.
Fast, Quiet Auto Focus Performance
Autofocus is fast and quiet thanks to its Optimised Silent Drive (OSD) autofocus motor. Delivering precise, consistent focus lock and outstanding accuracy in tracking, the lens is also perfect for videographers with its near-silent operation.
Optimised for Sony AF System
The Tamron 20mm f/2.8 Di III is also compatible with a broad range of Sony’s AF modes, including Fast Hybrid AF, Eye-AF and Direct Manual Focus.
Low Dispersion and Aspherical Elements
Constructed from 10 elements in 9 groups, the Tamron 20mm f/2.8 continues its signature image sharpness and detail. Its optical structure features a low-dispersion element and Glass Moulded Aspherical elements to deliver excellent resolving power that can handle the full-frame sensors of the Sony Alpha range.
Broad-Band Anti-Reflection Coating
Colours and contrast are great thanks to Tamron’s legendary Broad Band Anti-Reflection coating. Successfully minimising flare and ghosting, the coating delivers vivid, true to life colours and deep contrast shadows for improved three-dimensionality and pop. A fluorine coating is applied to the front element to further maximise your image quality by repelling dirt and fingerprints, while making cleaning a breeze.
Weather Sealed Construction
The Tamron 20mm f2.8 III lens also features a weather sealed construction to suit the moisture resistant capabilities of many of Sony’s Alpha cameras, ensuring you’re equipped to nail the shot, even in adverse weather conditions.
