Large 1-Inch Exmor RS CMOS Sensor

The Sony PXW-Z150 is equipped with a 1 inch Exmor RS CMOS backside illuminated sensor with approximately 14.2 million effective pixels. Due to this large sensor size, more light is able to reach the sensor. The result is excellent low light performance (in Low Lux mode), with reduced noise and steady images with less blur, ensuring all the details remain intact.

Sony “G” Lens with 24x Maximum Zoom

The camcorder features a fixed wide-angle Sony G lens with 12x optical zoom, equivalent to a 29-348mm 35mm lens. This allows you to shoot a wide range of compositions with excellent clarity and sharpness. Extending the zoom range even further is Sony’s Clear Image Zoom feature. When zoomed in at the maximum 12x, the Pixel Super Resolution Technology kicks in, which can enlarge the image to 18x while shooting 4K video and 24x while shooting Full HD, bringing your subjects even closer just by pushing a button. Select from full-auto mode, or manual focus for maximum control over your creation.

Designed with broadcast quality performance in mind, the Z150 uses the advanced XAVC Long GOP 100Mbps codec to produce amazing Ultra-High-Definition 4K video (3840 x 2160p) at 29.97, 25, and 23.98 frames per second. You can also switch to recording HD video at frame rates up to 59.94p and, in this mode, engage Sony’s Slow and Quick Motion feature for shooting at variable frame rates. The Z150 can easily be switched between NTSC and PAL system to suit your workflow.

Continuous Slow Motion Capture

The Sony Z150 features a stacked CMOS sensor with a 2x increase in read-out speed, enabling 5x slow motion image capture in full HD at 120fps. This allows you to turn every day action shots, like swinging a golf club, into beautifully clear slow motion with no loss of depth or angle of view.

Precise Monitoring

The camcorder comes with a 3.5inch high-contrast flip-out LCD panel, supporting a 1550K resolution, providing a clear view of your subjects and easy menu navigation. The electronic viewfinder (EVF) is a 0.39inch type OLED screen with 1440K resolution and is also equipped with a large eye cup to make viewing comfortable in any environment.

Built-In ND Filters

The built-In ND filter function provides four different options, without having to carry around a box of filters. Dual Media Slots

The PXW-Z150 features dual memory card slots, one supporting SDHC/SDXC cards only, while the second slot is compatible with SDHC/SDXC and Memory Stick PRO Duo (Mark 2)/Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo cards. Recording in “Relay” mode means that, once the first memory card is full, the camera will automatically switch to recording on the second card without disrupting your work. The "Simul" mode enables simultaneous recording on two memory cards, creating a copy instantly.

Dual XLR inputs

The dual XLR inputs on the camera enable you to mount a professional microphone directly or plug in a wireless audio receiver (sold separately), eliminating the need to carry separate audio recording equipment to all of your events.

Wi-Fi & NFC Enabled
