Featuring an integrated 2.4GHz radio transceiver and powerful guide number of 60m at ISO 100, you can control your lighting at a larger range. Thanks to its low recycle time of 1.7 seconds for continuous shooting, you can capture every moment in beautiful clarity and sharp detail. Employing both Pre-Flash TTL and ADI flash metering, the flash ensures accurate output to maximise the colour and details of your scenes. It also functions as a controller or remote and supports high speed sync to give you more creative control. Delivering up to 220 flashes at full power, the materials are designed to withstand heat, dust and moisture to offer durability.
Powerful and Variable Flash
The maximum Guide Number of 60 can be adjusted down to suit your scene and subject. Capable of dialling down 25 levels (1/1-1/256) in 1/3 step increments, the flash offers you finer creative control.
Customisable Light Distribution
It’s easy to light a huge range of situations corresponding to focal lengths between 20mm to 200mm. Featuring three separate settings, you can customise the flash distribution to your needs; “Standard” for typical lighting, “Centre” for GN priority, and “Even” for wide angle.
High-Speed and 1st/2nd Curtain Sync
Perfectly light any exposure setting thanks to the HVLF60RM’s flash synchronisation capabilities. Offering high-speed sync, 1st and 2nd curtain sync and slow sync, you can produce the bokeh effect on backlit subjects.
Fast Recycle Time for Continuous shooting
A fast recycle time of 1.7 seconds keeps you up and running. The F60RM supports continuous shooting and can fire up to 10 flashes per second for up to 40 shots in one burst. Optimised for efficiency, the flash lets you freeze motion to capture sharp details in sequential shots.
Wireless TTL and P-TTL
Optical wireless TTL settings can be memorised for immediate recall, convenient to quickly meter the right exposure. P-TTL uses pre-flash to measure exposure and determine appropriate flash output.
ADI Support
Advance Distance Integration (ADI) metering support is also built into the flash unit. It works with cameras and lenses that have distance encoders to determine the distance between the camera and your subject, helping to balance flash output with ambient light.
Commander or Remote
Thanks to the 2.4GHz radio transceiver, the flash can operate as a commander or a remote within a range of 30m. Capable of combining 15 flashes arranged in five groups over 14 channels, you can conveniently light entire scenes under the one system. Remote optical and wireless radio triggering also ensures interference free communication between the camera and flash.
LED Light Doubles as AF Illuminator
An LED light integrated into the front of the flash puts out 1200 lux at 0.5m, perfect for low light conditions and indoor photography. The LED light doubles as an autofocus illuminator on compatible cameras to maximise speed and accuracy.
Custom Keys and Highly Visible LCD
The centre button, directional controller, and control wheel’s functions can be reassigned to frequently used settings to match your personal preferences. Thanks to the dot-matrix LCD, the menu and settings are clearly visible whether you’re using it in low light or in bright sunlight.
Patented Quick Shift Bounce System
Featuring Sony’s patented Quick Shift Bounce, the flexible flash head can be manoeuvred vertically and horizontally, allowing photographers to quickly adapt from landscape to portrait photography. Capable of shifting 90° left or right, or tilting upwards up to 150° and downwards by -8o, you can easily adjust the bounce of your light in different shooting environments.
Resistant to Overheating, Dust and Moisture
The Sony HVLF60RM Wireless Radio Flash is built using materials and algorithms resistant to overheating for reliability even when using continuous flash. Resilient against moisture and dust, you can achieve perfect lighting in various weather conditions. A metal Multi Interface (MI) shoe makes it compatible with a range of cameras.
