70-300mm Telephoto Zoom

The Sony FE-70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G OSS Lens is compatible to Sony E-Mount Cameras with both full frame and APS-C size sensors. It features a long telephoto zoom range from 70 to 300mm on a 35mm full frame or 105-450mm on an APS-C format camera, perfect for capturing wildlife and sports.

High Performance Optics

Four Aspherical Element are integrated in the lens assembly to suppress distortion such as field curvature, coma and other spherical aberrations. These are supported by two ED (Extra Low Dispersion) elements to minimise chromatic aberration and improve overall image clarity. The Nano AR crystal coating saves your images from unwanted ghosting and flare that may otherwise spoil a great image. These quality optics are combined with an included lens hood to deliver a stunning performance in photos as well as videos.

Fast and Silent Auto Focus

The internal focusing system is equipped with a linear actuator which makes focusing precise, quick and silent. The focus limiter switch gives you an option of limiting the focusing range to 3m and above which further reduces the focusing time and makes the operation even faster. The images captured using the 70-300mm lens are sharp and justify your camera's high resolution. The auto-focus operation is smooth and silent which is helpful for still images as well as videos.

Optical Steady Shot

The lens is equipped with Optical Steady Shot which compensates the vibrations of camera while shooting handheld. When a long focal length is in use, even the slightest shake can cause unwanted blur in an image. This problem can be significantly minimised by simply turning the Steady Shot mode on by a simple sliding switch.

9 Blade Rounded Diaphragm

The aperture of the lens is medium fast at f/4.5-5.6 with 9 rounded blades which render the bokeh smoothly. The soft appeal of the out of focus area makes your subject stand out against evenly blurred background thereby complementing its looks.

Focus Hold

The Focus hold switch present on the left side while you are holding the camera in you right can be easily engaged just by depressing it by your thumb or finger tip. This feature comes in handy especially when you want to focus on a moving subject where after attaining focus, you do not want to lose it and miss a crucial moment.

Zoom Lock

The Lens Barrel can be locked in the 70mm position which protects the lens from any accidental opening up causing unnecessary collision with surrounding objects. Storing the lens in your camera bag is easy and secure with the lens barrel locked during travel especially.
