Sony Alpha A7S MkIII CSC Body
A camera that has been five years in the making and highly anticipated, the Sony Alpha 7S III is a professional grade camera that redefines quality. With a strong focus on videography and cinematography, this camera will keep up with the highest of demands. Boasting an entirely new image sensor that has been expanded for a new stills and movie recording experience, along with a new BIONZ XR image processor, this camera means business. You will be amazed at the clarity of the images this camera produces, while the 4K, 120 fps and 240 fps FHD offer unbelievable video footage.
New improvements
The new full-frame 12.1 megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor delivers incredibly high sensitivity and low noise. With huge improvements to light gathering, wiring and output optimisation, images are razor sharp. Additionally, the newly developed BIONZ XR image processing engine allows for 8x more processing power, delivering ultra-high-quality images quicker, resulting in superior still and video quality.
Incredible autofocus performance
As a result of the innovations, this in turn means that always-active pinpoint AF is constantly ready to deliver. Supporting focal plane phase-detection, this allows for an increase in stability and precision when shooting. This provides stunningly clear results that target your subject, even when recording 4K 120p or in slow motion. The camera has object, face and eye tracking capabilities for both humans and animals.
Versatile ISO
With an expanded ISO range of 80 – 409,600 (standard range 80 – 102,400), along with advanced light-gathering an output optimisation, low noise is easily achieved, even when shooting in almost complete darkness.
Full-frame 4K recording at 120p
Experience amazing 4K 120p video recording capabilities and shoot stunningly clear video. With full-pixel readout without binning, you are able to post-produce slow motion effects and achieve beautiful bokeh effects.
In terms of colour grading, the camera records with 10-bit-depth and 4:2:2 colour sampling when using either Long GOP or All Intra compression. This enables colours to be pushed further for a mor bold and true-to-life result, while HDR realism that features a natural gradation allows for more freedom when it comes time to edit.
High speed continuous shooting
Both the mechanical and electronic shutters are capable of 10 frames per second continuous shooting with AF/AE. To take it one step further, continuous shooting of over 1000 uncompressed RAW images is possible due to the increased buffer memory of the BIONZ XR processor and memory card writing speed.
High definition 9.44 million dot electronic viewfinder
Challenging the resolution of the human eye, the a7S III’s resolution is the highest of its class. It boasts a 0.90x viewfinder magnification, 41° diagonal field of view and a 25mm high eyepoint that provides clear and low-distortion viewing.
Two memory card slots
Aside from being compatible with SDXC/SDHD cards supporting UHS-I and UHS-II speed classes, the memory card slots are also compatible with new CFexpress Type A cards.
Sony FE 24mm f/1.4 G Master Lens
The Sony FE 24mm f/1.4 is a super bright wide-angle lens ideal for low-light shooting like astro, street photography and environmental portraits. Boasting a sophisticated optical construction that delivers ultra-high resolution results the G Master lens is perfectly matched with Sony’s high megapixel image sensors. A newly designed DDSM motor provides fast and incredibly accurate autofocus performance that ensures sharp shots of your subject even if they’re fast moving.
Widen your Perspective
With a wide 24mm focal length, the lens has a field of view of approximately 84° that is well suited for landscapes, cityscapes, and astrophotography. Wide angle lenses allow you to experiment with compositions that show more of the surrounding environment for portraits with high levels of detail and visual context.
Super Bright f/1.4 Aperture
A massive f/1.4 aperture enhances the light transmission ability of the lens, making it well suited for low-light photography. The aperture is constructed with 11-blades that create a beautiful circular bokeh with stunning roll off when shooting wide open with a super shallow depth-of-field.
Looking Sharp as Always
The Sony G-Master range are well known for their high resolving ability and the 24mm is no exception. With an optical construction that consist of 13 elements arranged in 10 groups, the lens uses two XA (extreme aspherical) and three ED (extra-low dispersion) elements to reduce any chromatic aberration. The advanced optics have also been designed to minimise sagittal flare, making the lens ideal for astrophotography with many point light sources.
Lens Coating for Enhanced Image Quality
The Nano AR coating on the optical elements controls internal reflections and flaring to ensure a high level of contrast and clarity are achieved when shooting towards bright light sources. This is useful in a range of different conditions, improving the versatility of the lens. A fluorine coating on the front element also helps to protect again fingerprints, dust, and water to keep your lens clean.
Powerful Autofocus Capability
With an improved Direct Drive SSM focus drive motor, movement of the elements for focus acquisition is fast and precise, even when shooting with a wide-open aperture. The redesigned motor delivers lightning fast autofocus performance as well as a near-silent operation that suits video recording.
Lightweight without Compromise
Thanks to a sophisticated optical design, the lens is surprisingly lightweight and portable, a perfect match for the Sony mirrorless system. A delicate fusion of performance and versatility, the lens delivers an astoundingly high level of image quality with a total weight of only 0.445 Kg. It also has a custom focus hold button on the lens as well as a dust and moisture resistant construction.
Cinematic Functionality
The Sony G-Master 24mm f/1.4 Lens is not limited to photography though, Sony understand that modern shooters capture both video and stills, which is why the lens has a de-clickable aperture ring for exposure and depth of field adjustments. The lens also has a linear response MF for smooth focus pulls and delicate focus refinements.
