In keeping with other G Master lenses in the range the SEL 35mm lens delivers high resolution with excellent bokeh. The 2 Extreme Aspherical (XA) elements ensure superb resolution across the whole image area. Chromatic aberration and purple fringing are suppressed by an ED glass element and optical refinements. An AR Nano coating ensures great contrast and resolution in a compact size.

11 Blade Aperture for Impressive Bokeh

The 11 blade aperture design in the FE 35mm 1.4GM gives extraordinary bokeh with advanced spherical aberration control.

The F1.4 maximum aperture and a large focusing range, from just 27cm, gives you ultimate control over your photos and videos while ensuring a beautiful bokeh effect.

Professional Performance & Reliability

Onboard controls on the lens enhance the capturing experience with a focus hold button and a focus mode switch, both easily accessible while shooting. Perfect for fluid and efficient operation.

The aperture ring has switchable click stops, which can be turned on or off for seamless aperture adjustments when filming video. The wide-open aperture of F1.4 gives you excellent pickup indoors and in lower light, while the smooth aperture ring will make for smoother transitions moving to higher light environments. The exterior of the lens is dust and moisture resistant with a fluorine coating on the front element of the lens to repel oil and water.

At a weight of just 0.524 kg the lens is lightweight and compact enough that it fits into the palm of your hand. It is a perfect size for handling and portability in all environments.

Sony's Extreme Dynamic XD Linear Motors give high thrust efficiency for precise autofocus and tracking, ensuring excellent resolution at any distance. Smooth, silent and quick autofocus is achieved with these XD Motors and state of the art control algorithms, all with minimised vibration.

When focusing manually, the Linear Response MF gives excellent focus ring control with a subtle adjustment response.
