Sigma 85mm f/1.4 Lens for Nikon
The Sigma Art Series welcomes the 85mm focal length with enhanced optical performance, making it a popular choice for professional photographers. With a 9 bladed diaphragm and a super wide f/1.4 aperture, this lens offers an ultra-shallow depth of field with beautiful bokeh and exceptional low light performance.
Picture Perfect Portraits
85mm focal length lenses have always been highly regarded for portraiture work, because of their strong background compression and exaggeration of bokeh. This technique is perfect for visual storytellers to fine tune their shots and to ultimately create compelling imagery. Not just limited to portraits though the lens can be used for close-ups, casual snaps, and is excellent for video work as well.
Wide f1.4 Aperture
The large f1.4 aperture easily creates a shallow depth of field combining smooth out of focus backgrounds with razor sharp detail where the camera is focused. This feature allows you to choose what your audience notice first by using focus as an expressive tool.
9 Bladed Gorgeous Bokeh
Utilising 9 blades to create a circular aperture enables the lens to render beautiful out of focus areas to allow you to create stunning photographs and videos.
Advanced Lens Construction
Combining a series of Extra-Low Dispersion (ELD) lens elements with Special Low Dispersion Glass (SLD) and “F” Low Dispersion (FLD) elements grant the lens ultra-high resolution resolving capabilities perfect for high resolution cameras like the Canon 5DS or Canon 5D Mark IV. The lens consists of 14 lens elements in total and these are arranged in 12 groups.
Minimised Flare and Ghosting
The sophisticated glass element arrangement is enhanced with a Super Multi-Layer Coating to reduce flaring and ghosting to ensure optimum optical performance. The coating helps you to capture sharp images with high-contrast in a range of situations even in strongly backlight conditions like when shooting into the sun.
Hyper Sonic Autofocus
With 1.3 times more torque in its autofocus motor than previous models the art series lens has a revised Hyper Sonic Autofocus drive motor that offers exceptional stable performance, at all speeds. The lens has a new software algorithm to drive the autofocus and the lens can be manually focused at any time just by simply rotating the focus ring, without the need to touch the focus mode switch.
Sigma Art Series
The “Art” Series of lenses from Sigma are well known among professional photographers and videographers for the excellent optical performance the deliver at a fraction of the price of other high-end lenses to allow you freely artistically express your creative vision.
Full Frame Design
The lens is compatible with a full-frame sensor and offers more than a whopping 50-megapixels in resolution resolving ability making it perfect for 4K video or super-high resolution cameras.
Sigma Accessory Compatible
The lens can be combined with Sigma’s MC-11 Mount Converter to allow it to be used with Sony E-Mount cameras without losing autofocus or electronic communication for aperture control and the recording of EXIF data. It can also be connected via the Sigma USB dock to allow for customisation and flexible adjustment of the lens’s firmware and designation focus position.
The Sigma 85 mm f/1.4 Art Series DG HSM Lens Nikon offers fantastic optical quality with a choice of mounts supporting Nikon, Canon and with the Sigma Mount Converter Sony Cameras. Its enhanced autofocus motor and high resolving capabilities make it a perfect addition to your kit to unleash your creative story telling potential.
