The Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art Canon series lens has been completely redesigned, setting a new benchmark for the Art line of professional lenses. Boasting optical performance that rivals the most acclaimed lenses in this category, the 50mm Art is sure to become an instant classic.

Compatible with crop and full frame Canon, Nikon and Sony DSLRs, the lens offers a versatile 50mm focal range that offers a natural perspective suitable for portrait, still-life, studio and street photography.

Its large f/1.4 aperture is delivered via a 9-bladed diaphragm to produce beautifully rendered out-of-focus areas and provide excellent creative versatility in poor lighting scenarios by allowing for faster shutter speeds to ensure vibrant, tack-sharp, detail rich images.

Internal construction consists of 13 elements in 8 groups which deliver a minimum focusing distance of 40cm. Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements and a Super Multi-Layer anti-reflective coating minimise chromatic aberrations and flaring to maximise optical performance.

Videographers will appreciate the Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) autofocus system which delivers fast, accurate, whisper quiet operation that ensures your on-camera audio is not compromised by the sound of the focusing lens.

The Sigma Art 50 mm f/1.4 DG HSM Canon lens also includes a lens hood for even greater image contrast and optical clarity when shooting in sunny, outdoor conditions.
