The Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art L-Mount

The Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art L-Mount is the first lens from Sigma with a maximum aperture of f/1.2 designed specifically for full frame mirrorless cameras like the Sony A7 and Panasonic S1 series. The DN designation indicates that these lenses have been optimised for use with high resolution mirrorless cameras with a short flange distance. This lens is built tough with a rugged brass mount, a dust and splash proof structure, as well as a water and oil repellent coating on the front element.

35mm Focal Length Wide Angle Prime

With a versatile 35mm focal length, the lens suits a wide range of photography and videography styles. As a prime, the lens captures fine detail with an optical performance that must be seen to be believed.

Ultra-Fast f/1.2 Aperture

The fast f/1.2 maximum aperture on the lens is incredibly useful when shooting in darker conditions, paired with a full frame sensor it can deliver un-paralleled low-light performance. But it’s not just about being brighter, the wide aperture also creates a stunningly shallow depth of field, allowing visual story tellers to creatively control the focus of their compositions.

11-Bladed Circular Aperture

Shot wide open, the lens renders out-of-focus areas with a creamy soft bokeh that adds a dream-like quality to your images. Stop down the aperture and it’s another story though, with pin sharp optical image performance from edge to edge.

17 Elements Arranged in 12 Groups

The optical design of the 35mm f/1.2 lens is quite simply a work of art, using 17 elements that are carefully arranged in 12 groups. Three of them are SLD (Super Low Dispersion) elements and three are ASHP (Aspherical) elements, which work together to control aberrations like sagittal coma flare and to optimise the sharpness of the lens.

Improved Handling with AF Button and Manual Aperture Ring

The 35mm lens features improved handling and operability that improve the experience of shooting with the lens. As well as the standard focus mode button, the lens also offers a customisable AFL button and a manual aperture control ring that can be de-clicked for video shooters.

Fast Precise Autofocus Performance

Using a Hyper Sonic Autofocus Motor (HSM), the lens has quick and quiet performance when acquiring focus and tracking subjects. The HSM system also allows for full manual override when required, with a simple focus ring adjustment.

Close Focusing Distance of 30cm

Designed so you can get nice and close to your subject, the 35mm Sigma has a minimum focus distance of 30cm, further improving the versatility of what is already an incredibly useful lens.

Weather Resistant Design

The Sigma 35mm f1.2DG DN Art lens L-Mount for Mirrorless Cameras is built tough to withstand the rigours of shooting in any weather condition. With a dust and splash proof design, a rugged brass mount and a water and oil repellent coating on the front element, the lens is incredibly robust allowing you to shoot with confidence.
