Sigma popular 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens is designed with mirrorless shooters in mind. Rather than being adapted from the DSLR version, this lens has been completely redesigned with mirrorless sensors and flange distances in mind. It features a more compact footprint and a completely new optical construction, aperture design and lens coating.

18 Elements in 13 Groups

Considered the new standard for landscape and astro photographers, it's ultra-wide angle field of view is achieved with 18 elements in 13 groups. Of these, Sigma has managed to incorporate five SLD elements, three aspherical elements and one F-Low Dispersion element to effectively supress chromatic aberration and reduce periphery distortion.

Perfect for Hi-Res Sensors

Sigma has touted the optics will deliver "mind-blowing resolution", perfect for resolving high resolution sensors such as the 42.4 Megapixel A7R III or the 47.3 Megapixel S1R.

Constant f/2.8 Aperture

An upgraded eleven-blade rounded diaphragm renders the out of focus areas with a pleasingly smooth aesthetic. The large f/2.8 aperture across the entire zoom range is great for capturing light, allowing you to shoot with faster shutter speeds and lower ISO to reduce noise and improve detail.

NPC Anti-Reflective Coating

Further bolstering its image quality is a newly developed NPC (Nano Porous Coating) that helps reduce flare while improving contrast, even when shooting directly into the sun.

Customisable AFL Button

An AFL button located on the lens barrel can be assigned with various functions, allowing you to customise the functions and setting according to your workflow or subject matter.

Rear Filter Holder

A filter holder at the rear adds even more potential for creative expression, equipping you with the ability to add sheet-type filters to specifically enhance your astrophotography scenes.

Quiet Stepping Motor AF

A high-speed stepping motor controls the autofocus. With a minimum focusing distance of just 28cm, its ultra-quiet operation is well-suited for both photo and video. The AF motors also work in conjunction with face and eye detection algorithms featured in some mirrorless cameras, making it a versatile tool for a broad range of multimedia applications.

Dust & Splash Proof Construction

The Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art series lens features a dust and splash proof exterior, allowing you to take it out into the elements with confidence. Its high-precision brass bayonet mount is designed for a lifetime of abuse, ready to tackle anything a seasoned photographer can throw at it.
