Part of the Art series, the Sigma 12-24mm F/4 DG HSM Art Lens is a premium full frame ultra-wide angle zoom designed to provide you with wide angle imagery with minimal distortions.

Ultra-Wide Angle

The lens offers a 12-24mm angle-of-view when used with a full-frame or 35mm camera and a focal length of 18-36mm with APS-C sensor cameras, making it ideal for diverse photographic scenarios such as architecture, street and indoor photography, wedding and sporting events, nature and wildlife, or capturing immense landscapes with an enhanced perspective.

Constant f/4 Aperture

The lens is capable of maintaining a constant maximum aperture of f/4 throughout the focal length range while retaining precise focus. The wide aperture is well suited for challenging low-light situations and ensures out-of-focus backgrounds are beautifully rendered.

Premium Optics

With 16 elements in 11 groups, the lens comprises of “F” Low Dispersion (FLD) and aspherical elements, including an 80mm large-diameter moulded glass aspherical element. The FLD element ensures minimum chromatic aberration and distortion, and outstanding edge-to -edge image quality throughout the zoom and focal length range. Additionally, a Super Multi-Layer Coating on the lens elements reduce flaring and ghosting, providing sharp, high contrast images even when shot wide open in bright and backlit conditions.

Hyper Sonic Motor with Manual Override

A high torque Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) complemented by an AF algorithm provides silent, fast and precise autofocus. For finer and precise focusing operations, the HSM allows manual focusing override even in the autofocus mode, via a large focusing ring.

Pleasing Bokeh

A nine-blade rounded diaphragm creates a pleasing and smooth bokeh in out of focus areas giving images a pleasing appearance.

Small Minimum Focusing Distance

The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 24cm allowing you to photograph small objects from close quarters for images with an exaggerated perspective.

Electromagnetic Aperture

An electromagnetic aperture mechanism provides increased exposure control stability, especially helpful when capturing subjects in motion in the continuous shooting mode.

Rugged Build Quality

The internal components of the lens are fabricated with metal and Thermally Stable Composite (TSC), offering higher precision levels and better performance under a wide temperature range. The bayonet mount is made of brass for higher durability and an accurate fit to the camera.

Optional Sigma USB Dock

Compatible with the optional Sigma USB Dock (sold separately), the firmware on the lens can be upgraded to fine-tune focusing and future-proof it's compatibility with new cameras and focusing technologies to deliver improved longevity and value for money.

Moisture and Dust Proof

Rubber seals protect the Sigma 12-24 mm F/4 DG HSM Art lens from dust and water splashes making it suitable for outdoor use, while a water and oil repellent coating on the front and rear elements minimise difficult to clean smudges and fingerprints.
