Accurately Measure Reflected and Ambient Light

Featuring a 40° receiving angle, the Sekonic L-308X lumisphere can switch between measuring incident light on people and objects or reflected light from faraway subjects and landscapes simply by sliding it left or right. It’s also compatible with Lumidisc (separately available) to accurately measure light off flat objects, green screens, and adjust between multiple light sources.

Three Lighting Assist Modes

Photo Mode: Whether you’re shooting in studio or at outdoors, this mode will help calculate the right settings in Shutter Speed, Aperture Priority or EV Mode based on ambient light. Cord Flash Mode and Cordless Flash Mode are also available to suit different lighting setups.

Cine Mode: This offers cinematographers the confidence to set shutter angles to a one-tenth stop accuracy. The Frame Rate Priority Mode also allows you to select the frame rate from 8 to 128fps. It also displays both Lux (lx) and foot-candle (fc) readouts for speed and precision.

HD Cine Mode: DSLR and mirrorless videography is easier thanks to this mode’s high accuracy in measuring shutter speed, frame rate, and aperture readings.

Wide 0 to 19.9 EV Metering Range

The L308X Flashmate is easily works with exposure times from 1/8000 to 60 seconds. At ISO 100, it can measure ambient light from 0 to 19.9 EV and flash lighting (cordless or via sync terminal connection) from f/1.0 to f/90.9 with excellent accuracy. It delivers aCustomisable LCD with Backlight Easily visible in most lighting conditions, the LCD display is customisable to user preference. Backlit, it automatically switches on in conditions under 5 EV and turns off after 10 seconds of idle time to maximise battery life.
