Natural Field-of-View & Perspective
The Samyang AF 45mm f/1.8 FE lens has been designed to best reproduce the same 53° field of view as found in the human eye. When attached to a Full Frame Sony mirrorless camera, this delivers a focal length that is well suited to portraits, still life, street photography, food photography and more.
Specifically Design for Mirrorless Cameras
The construction of the 45mm f/1.8 AF FE has been developed by Samyang to specifically work with mirrorless cameras to better resolve and take advantage of the high pixel count of modern mirrorless cameras.
2 Aspherical & 1 Extra-Low Dispersion Element
It features two aspherical elements for improved edge-to-edge sharpness and an extra-low dispersion element designed to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations. The end result is a lens that delivers razor sharp detail with excellent contrast and true-to-life colour reproduction.
Multi-Coated Lenses
A Ultra Multi-Coating is used on individual lens elements to further reduce flare and ghosting for maximum detail and a neutral colour balance.
Includes Lens Hood
An included lens hood further bolsters image quality blocking stray light from entering the lens periphery for improved contrast and colour accuracy when shooting into the sun.
Beautiful Bokeh
Its aperture diaphragm consists of 9 blades to deliver buttery-smooth out-of-focus areas allowing you to shoot wide-open to give you maximum control of your depth of field. Its shallow depth of field effect is synonymous with portrait and street photography, equipping you with the creative ability to control what parts of the image you want the viewer to focus on, while removing distractions from the foreground or background.
Fast, Quiet Auto Focus Performance
Autofocus is fast, precise and quiet. Using a Linear Step Motor design the 45mm f/1.8 locks onto subjects quickly with zero vibrations. Its linear motor system is also well-suited to video shooting, providing smooth, quiet autofocus performance when filming.
Compatible with Sony Full Frame and APS-C Cameras
Measuring a compact 5.6cm and weighing only 162g, the Samyang 45mm f/1.8 AF Lens is also compatible with crop sensor Sony E-Mount cameras, delivering an APS-C field of view of 67.5mm. Its diminutive size makes it a great option as a travel or everyday lens.
