The Samyang AF 35mm f/2.8 UMC FE Lens is designed for Sony mirrorless full frame cameras like the A7, and is perfect for general shooting applications. It has a classic wide-angle focal length with full autofocus capability, and its compact and lightweight form factor makes it ideal for travel photography and videography.

Versatile Focal Length

The wide-angle and versatile 35mm focal length provides a natural perspective suitable for a range of shooting applications, including landscapes, street photography, portraits and event photography. With an impressive minimum focus distance of 23cm for close-up shots, as well as an ultra-compact form factor, the 35mm AF an ideal walk-around lens for everyday shooting.

Full Frame and Crop Frame Compatible

Designed specifically for full-frame Sony mirrorless cameras the lens pairs perfectly with Sony’s a7 and A7 II series camera bodies and delivers excellent results. The lens is also compatible with Sony’s APS-C E-mount cameras, like the a6000, 6300 and a65000, where it provides a 52.5mm equivalent focal length.

Bright f/2.8 Aperture for Shallow Depth-of-Field

A large f/2.8 maximum aperture allows the lens to produce bright photos in low-light without needing to increase ISO settings, the rounded seven-blade diaphragm creates beautiful out-of-focus backgrounds with smooth and expressive bokeh. The bright aperture also delivers sharp, blur-free images when shooting at high shutter speeds to freeze fast-moving subjects.

Samyang Optical Construction with UMC Coating

The lens incorporates an optical design that consists of seven elements arranged in six groups, with two aspherical lenses and one high refractive index high-dispersion glass element that enhances image brightness. Ultra Multi Coatings on the elements supress reflections, flare and ghosting when shooting backlit subjects which, combined with the optical construction produce high resolution images with outstanding sharpness, impressive contrast and clarity.

Fast and Reliable Auto Focus

The quiet autofocus motor is optimised to work seamlessly with Sony cameras for fast, accurate results suitable for tracking shots and video recording applications. A manual focus override is available to allow manual adjustments to the focus for improved creative flexibility.
