The Samyang Optics 50mm F1.4 AS UMC lens is purpose-built as a standard manual focus photo lens for full-frame image sensors. Featuring a low F-number, this manual focus lens offers precise control, enabling photographers to capture stunning shots in diverse exposure environments, from dimly lit scenes to excessively bright conditions.

This lens features 9 lenses in 6 groups including 1 glass aspherical lens (ASP), and 1 hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP) to offer high resolution. Especially, H-ASP minimizes colour aberration to realize exceptional image quality and high contrast for the centre and corner of the image even when the aperture is fully opened. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) technology of Samyang Optics optimises the light penetration and minimises flare and ghost. With such optical construction, it has 0.45m of minimum focal length to take photos of subjects in the near distance.

There are 8 aperture blades designed to be almost as a full circle when the aperture is closed which expresses starlike ray clearly and beautifully. The frame of the lens is compact and solid since it is made of high-strength aluminium alloy so you can create trustworthy images. A detachable petal-shaped lens hood minimises flare and ghost by sheltering the lens from unnecessary light.
