Wide F2.0 Aperture

The 135mm boasts an impressive maximum f/2.0 aperture that delivers excellent exposure and depth of field control which, combined with the telephoto focal length, creates an ultra-shallow focus that is ideal to separate your subject from the background. The out-of-focus areas are perfectly soft due to the 9-aperture blades that create a smooth circular bokeh. The wide aperture also lets you shoot at fast shutter speeds, even in lowlight conditions.

High Resolution Optical Design

Image quality is incredibly important in prime lenses and the Samyang lens is no exception. It makes use of a floating type design to reduce aberrations and distortion, as well as onehigh performance ED (extra-low dispersion) element to minimise colour fringing. The optical design features 11 elements arranged in 7 groups to ensure optimised resolution with excellent contrast and sharpness, which is further enhanced by a UMC (ultramulti coating) treatment on the glass elements.

Precision Manual Focus

With a rubberised grip, the manual focus ring makes very fine adjustments easier and more precise. Ahyper-focal distance scale in both feet and meters is printed on the lens barrel so you can work out exactly what is in focus at each f-stop setting.

Non-Rotating 77mm Filter Mount

An internal focus system prevents the 77mm filter thread on the end of the lens from rotating while focusing, which means you can use circularpolarisers and graduated ND filters without needing to re-adjust the filter after focusing.

Metal Housing and Lens Hood

A durable metal barrel on the Samyang 135 mm f2.0 ED UMC Lens provides a solid feel that inspires confidence when using the lens. A deep bayonet-type lens hood is included to prevent stray light from entering the lens, while also protecting the front element from accidental impacts.
