The Phottix Ares II Wireless Flash Trigger Receiver is built to work with the separately available Ares II transmitter. Ideal for manual shooting with off-camera flashes and studio strobes, it features a hot shoe and a 3.5mm sync port. The system uses 16 channels in 4 groups to wirelessly trigger your flash within a 150m range. It also offers digital ID codes to ensure flashes aren’t accidentally tripped if you’re working near other photographers or studio set-up.

Wireless Flash Control

The Phottix Ares II Wireless Flash Receiver can wirelessly trigger your off-camera flashes and studio strobes within 150m in a studio or on location. The Ares II system has 4 groups and 16 channels, the first 4 being compatible with the separately available Phottix Strato II Transmitter.

Universal Hot Shoe and 3.5mm Sync Port

With a universal hot shoe, the receiver is compatible with most major camera and flash systems including Sony, Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Panasonic, Fuji, and Olympus. The 3.5mm sync port connects to studio strobes and the receiver supports a maximum sync speed of 1/250 second.

Digital ID Function and 2.4 GHz frequency

Secure triggering with a Digital ID code you can set (from 0000 to 9999) ensures that other photographers working nearby don’t accidentally trigger your flashes. The Ares II system operates on a 2.4 GHz frequency which helps limit interference from other transmitters.

Backlit LCD and Cold Shoe

A convenient backlit LCD screen can be viewed easily which is great when changing and checking settings. A cold shoe with a 1/4 inch thread allows you to quickly mount the receiver on brackets, stands, or other compatible supports.

AA Battery Powered

The Ares II Wireless Flash Trigger Receiver is powered by 2 x AA batteries which are conveniently available and provide good power usage over longer shoots.
