A full HDMI-out port plus a microphone input and 3.5mm headphone jack ensures versatility to expand the cameras capabilities for professional video production. The S1R is also compatible with Panasonic's DMW-XLR-1E Microphone adapter (sold separately), enabling input from professional XLR microphones to be used directly.

Dual I.S. 2 Image Stabilisation

Pushing the technological envelope, the S1R is the first full-frame camera to offer Dual Image stabilisation technology. Delivering shaper, detail-rich images and better exposure versatility and control. The S1R utilises a gyro sensor and accelerometer for highly effective shake reduction. Dual IS 2 combines the 5-axis sensor stabilisation system with optical lens stabilisation (where compatible) to offer an impressive 6-stops of compensation and truly uncompromising clarity when shooting handheld.

187 Megapixel High-Resolution Mode

The sensor shift image stabilisation system has been re-purposed to make massive 187 Megapixel images possible. Its High-Resolution mode is ideal for studio and landscape photographers who need ultra-high resolution images for billboard and print work, or better creative versatility when editing in post-production. The mode works by capturing and combining 8 consecutive images in-camera the high-res mode produces a 16,736 x 11,168 pixel RAW and/or JPEG file that will really do justice to the nuanced detail and colour tone variations of any scene.

Hybrid Log Gamma Photo Mode

Compatible with the latest emerging display technologies, the S1R also features built-in support for the Hybrid Log Gamma format. Offering a wider dynamic range for a more natural contrast profile, the HLG mode outputs HSP files natively to ensure compatibility with HDR displays. Simply connect the camera via a HDMI cable to a HLG-compliant TV and view breathtaking images in up to 8K resolution where supported.

Fast AF Performance with Eye Tracking

Sharpness is complemented by a high speed, high precision autofocusing system that combines contrast detect AF with Panasonic's Depth-From-Defocus technology for lightning fast, accurate lock onto your subject. The lens and sensor communicate at a maximum 480fps allowing focus lock for even the most fleeting subjects. Deep learning artificial intelligence helps with subject tracking and is capable of recognising specific subjects such as humans and fast-moving animals, tracking them with better accuracy and consistency. Face and Eye detection is also incorporated into the focusing system, ensuring your portraits are captured in crisp focus, even when shooting with wide-open apertures.

5760k-dot Ultra-High Resolution EVF

Equipped with a class-leading ultra-high 5760k-dot resolution viewfinder, the Lumix S1-R offers shooters the confidence that what they see in the EVF is an accurate representation of their final image. With a smooth, ultra-fast refresh rate of 120fps, the viewfinder also offers a lag time of less than 0.005 sec and an adjustable magnification ratio of 0.78x, 0.74x or 0.70x to compensate for glasses wearers who might struggle to see the entire full-frame view.

2100k-dot Triaxial Tilt Touchscreen Monitor

The rear of the camera houses a large 3.2-inch TFT LCD screen that makes it easy and intuitive to compose images and video or navigate the menu and change shooting settings. Featuring a 2100k-dot resolution, its unique triaxial design allows the screen to be flipped up for low-angle shooting, flipped down for high angle shots or flipped inwards for low or high angle shooting in the portrait orientation.

L-Mount Lens Mount

The new L-Mount lens mount has been developed in conjunction with Leica and Sigma to ensure a broad range of high-quality lenses are available, catering to all styles of photography. Its mount features a large 51.6mm inner diameter that allows for lenses to be extremely fast, yet compact and user friendly.

XQD & SD Card Slots

Individual slots for an XQD card and a SD card ensure professionals are equipped with the flexibility to choose the medium that suits them and can configure the camera to use the slots in a variety of ways like having an option of a real-time backup from one card to another for immediate file redundancy or saving video files to the XQD slot and stills to the SD slot.
