The Panasonic Lumix GX880 is a super-compact mirrorless camera that can capture quality stills and high-resolution 4K footage. Continuous Burst Shooting at up to 10fps

The GX880 is a super capable compact little camera that can capture everything from 4K video to fast action photography. It has a burst mode that shoots up to 10 frames-per-second with an ultra-fast maximum shutter speed of 1/16000th of a second.

Ultra-High-Resolution Video at 24, 25 & 30p

Great for both vloggers and up and coming filmmakers, the GX880 can record ultra-high-resolution 4K video in a variety of different frame rates from the film-like 24p all the way up to 30p. It can encode the videos with a MP4 or AVCHD video format that can be easily read by popular video editing programs.

Innovative 4K Photo Mode Technology

Panasonic’s LUMIX range of cameras feature cutting edge technology that utilises high-resolution 4K video to create unique new ways of capturing photos. Each second of 4K footage is made up of up to 30 frames that can be exported as 8-megapixel images. The camera also has a pre-burst mode that fills a buffer with 4K footage until you press the shutter, giving you a second chance to record a decisive moment, even if you react after the fact.

4K Post Focusing and Focus Stack

Another way Panasonic use the 4K technology is to capture a series of images from the footage while focusing from up close to far away. By selecting individual frames from the footage this essentially allows you to choose the focus point of your shot after you’ve captured the image. Alternatively, using the same process the images can be merged together to combine the in-focus parts of each shot using a technique known as focus stacking, to create an image where everything is in focus.

Night Portrait & 4K Wide-Angle Burst Mode

The Night Portrait Mode captures two images, one using a flash and another without, and then merges these images together to capture a perfect night-time selfies image in some of the most challenging conditions. The 4K burst (wide-angle) mode drops the rate down to 15 frames a second rather than 30 without any cropping to capture portraits that show more of the scene.

Autofocus with Depth-From-Defocus Technology

LUMIX cameras use an autofocus system called DFD or Depth-From-Defocus to deliver lighting fast and accurate autofocus tracking performance that keeps your subject sharp as it moves across your frame. This autofocus is create for shooting both stills and video and delivers consistent results ever time.

Flip LCD Touchscreen

The rear 3-inch LCD screen on the GX880 flips 180° over the top of the camera, is ideal for selfies and vloggers. This combined with a conveniently located extra shutter button, which doubles as a customisable Fn3 button, makes taking perfect selfies easier than ever.
