The Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35 mm f/2.8 Lens is an all-purpose zoom designed for use with the LUMIX G Series and micro four thirds mount cameras. It has a constant f/2.8 aperture over the zoom range, and delivers a handy 35mm focal length equivalent of 24-70mm. With 14 optical elements in 9 groups it produces sharp images and is resistant to dust and water incursion, making it a great choice for professionals working in unforgiving conditions.
24-70mm Equivalent Focal Length
The 35mm equivalent focal length of 24-70mm is ideal for a wide range of subjects including landscapes, street, portraits and still life.
Constant Aperture of f/2.8 Over the Zoom Range
Its bright f/2.8 constant aperture throughout the zoom range helps you capture stunning images even in low-light scenarios. It's constant design is also great for videographers, allowing them to maintain their exposure regardless of the focal length required.
Nano Surface Coating on Lens

14 Lenses in 9 Groups
The Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm has 14 lenses in 9 groups. These include (Extra-Low Dispersion) lenses that minimise chromatic aberration, while the UHR (Ultra High Refractive) lenses deliver outstanding optical performance from corner to corner. Also with high contrast/resolution from the centre to corner throughout the zoom range, the lens captures true-to-life detail and colour.
POWER OIS
The 12-35mm has an inbuilt POWER Optical Image Stabilization system that reduces blur when shooting handheld. It compensates for both small, fast movements and large, slow movements and enables the creation of clear photos at night or when shooting indoors.
Contrast Autofocus and Inner Focus System
When mounted on a compatible LUMIX G MFT camera body, the lens has a Contrast AF (Autofocus) system that delivers fast, silent autofocus. There is also a stepping motor which drives an inner focus system and provides silent focusing action that is ideal when recording HD videos.
Splash/Dust/Freeze Proof Build
A rubber ring is present on the lens mount to provide protection against dust and moisture when the lens is being used outdoors while a metal mount ensures lens longevity even after heavy repeated use.
Seven Blade Diaphragm
The Lumix G X Vario 12-35 mm f/2.8 lens has a seven blade diaphragm which gives the aperture a rounded appearance and helps create smooth, pleasing bokeh in out of focus areas.
58mm Filter Thread
The 58mm filter thread present on the front of the lens lets you attach compatible filters when you need to protect the lens, improve clarity, or take shots with long exposures.
