The Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III Silver launches a new era of photo and video creation for mirrorless shooters. It offers the same reliable build quality, precision autofocus and imaging performance as the popular E-M1 Mark II but packed into the lightweight, stylish body of the E-M5 series. Paired with the portable Olympus M.Zuiko lenses this puts the power to create incredible images and videos in the palm of your hand.

20.4-Megapixel Image Sensor

With an improved image resolution, the E-M5 III now captures 20.4-megapixel stills with a Live MOS sensor that allows you to capture stills with an incredible level of detail. The sensor records ultra-high resolution 4K video at 30p, perfect for those moments that just can’t be summed up in one image.

TruePic VIII Image Processor

Inheriting the same image processor found in the high-end E-M1 Mark II and E-M1X cameras allows the E-M5 III to pack a punch when it comes to shooting fast action. It can capture up to 10 images a second while performing autofocus and autoexposure calculations using an algorithm that analyses both real-time and recorded images to accurately predict the movement of your subject.

121 All Cross-Type AF Points

The 81-point contrast-based autofocus system of the E-M5 II has been upgraded to a 121-point phase-detection system that allows the camera to accurately track moving subjects as they move across the frame. Each is a cross-type autofocus point which dramatically improves autofocus accuracy compared to normal-type points and the camera delivers shutter speeds as fast as 1/8000s.

5.5 Stop Image Stabilisation & Sync IS

With a supercharged IS unit, the EM5 III delivers an impressive 5.5-stops of in-body image stabilisation. The benefit of in-body image stabilisation is that it works with all lenses, even those without optical stabilisation. The EM5 III also supports the Sync IS system that combines stabilisation from the camera and from the lens for an impressive 6.5 stops of compensation that is perfect for handheld video, telephoto photography and low-light shooting.

Dust, Splash & Freeze Proof Build Quality

The E-M 5 series has always been popular with photographers who want a robust, reliable camera system without having to lug around heavy cumbersome gear and the E M5 Mark III is no exception. The entire body is weather sealed to ensure it is dustproof, splashproof and freezeproof so you can shoot with confidence no matter what the weather conditions are like.

Classic Design Meets Modern Performance

Available in both black and silver, the EM5III is clearly inspired by the iconic Olympus OM-1 SLR but taking the place of the split pentaprism is a 2.36-million dot electronic viewfinder, putting a modern twist on a timeless classic. Compared to the E-M5 II the grip has been deepened to improve handling and the dials have re-positioned to echo the layout of the E-M1 Mark II.

3-inch Articulating Touchscreen LCD

The flip out rear LCD screen is a clear indication that Olympus are not afraid to embrace modern innovation and provide a feature vloggers and selfie enthusiasts will enjoy. The screen can display in real-time the cameras quirky Art filter modes and is touch sensitive, providing a more intuitive shooting experience.

Cutting Edge Connectivity

With Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, the E-M5 Mark III can be setup to automatically connect to your mobile device to transfer images and to remotely control the camera. It also features a modern USB connection that can be used to charge the battery in-camera, as well as a UHS-II SD card slot for lightning fast read and write speeds.

Pro Capture

Normally reserved for higher-end models, the Pro Capture mode, first pioneered by the E-M1 Mark II, uses an electronic shutter to continuously fills a 14-shot buffer with RAW images until the shutter is fully pressed. This captures the moment the shutter was pressed as well as 14 images before, perfect for moments that are hard to time perfectly.

Tripod High Res Shot Mode

The final resolution of the high res mode has also received a significant boost up to a whopping 50-megapixels. This incredible high-resolution mode is best for static subjects and is achieved by shifting the sensor by an almost microscopic amount and capturing 8 sequential images that are then merged in-camera.
