Ideal for Professional Content Creators

The Olympus OM-D E-M1 III is the ultimate all-rounder. Its impressive technical capabilities are combined with a rugged weather sealed body that has been designed with professional photographers, videographers, adventure travellers, content creators and everyday shooters in mind.

20.37 Megapixel Live MOS Sensor

At its heart lies a 20.37 Megapixel Live MOS Micro Four Thirds image sensor that delivers incredibly sharp, detail rich images with true-to-life colour replication. Encouraging you to go outdoors and create more content, the Olympus E-M1 Mark 3 goes above and beyond to ensure your camera is operating at its peak optical clarity with a Super Sonic Wave Filter (SSWF).

Sonic Vibration Dust Reduction System

The SSWF Dust Reduction System features a sonic vibration mechanism that vibrates 30,000 times per second to powerfully shake off any contamination on the sensor. It utilises a newly developed coating inherited from the OM-D E-M1X to minimise the possibility of particles trapped on the sensor ruining your shots.

400,000 Count Shutter Durability

The OM-D E-M1 III is now equipped with a high durability 400,000 count shutter to offer a high degree of reliability to meet the exacting demands of modern professional photographers who shoot day-in day-out and rely on their gear for their livelihood.

Powerful TruePic IX Image Processor

The latest TruePic IX image processing engine plays a key role in many of the improvements made possible in the EM1 Mark III. The most obvious is the ultra-fast 18fps high speed sequential shooting with AF tracking to ensure even the most fleeting moments are faithfully captured.

Up to 7.5 Stops of Stabilisation

The OM-D E-M1 III is also features the world’s best in-body image stabilisation system (at the time of writing). The 5-axis IBIS design offers an unparalleled 7 shutter speed steps of compensation, effectively reducing camera shake to deliver razor-sharp results, even when shooting in low-light conditions. Pair the camera with an optically stabilised Olympus lens in sync IS mode for an amazing 7.5 steps of stabilisation.

Hi-Res 50 or 80 Megapixel Shooting Mode

Landscape photographers can take advantage of the High Res Shot mode to deliver images with uncompromising clarity. Designed for professional photographers who create large fine-art style prints for clients or those seeking additional creative flexibility in post-production, the high-res mode features a handheld or tripod setting that combine 16 images to output a 50 megapixel or 80 megapixel image file respectively.

Live ND Shooting Mode

Inherited from the flagship OM-D E-M1X is the impressive Live ND mode. For still images, built-in Live ND technology can create dreamy-looking slow shutter style images in camera, no ND filter required. The camera achieves this by combining multiple exposed images and has five different levels to choose from; ND2, ND4, ND8, ND16, and ND32. You can even preview the ND effects in the viewfinder before shooting to ensure you nail the exposure.

Optical + Electronic Stabilisation

For video shooters, the OM-D E-M1III is equipped to shoot 4K and Cinema 4K resolutions. Combining the 5-axis IBIS with electronic image stabilisation reduces camera shake for beautifully smooth, cinematic motion without using a gimbal or tripod.

OM-Log400 Colour Profile

It also features a OM-Log400 colour profile which records your scene in a flat colour profile to preserve details in the shadows and highlights. This ensures better creative leeway in post-production, allowing you to colour grade your footage without compromising on clarity.

121-point Autofocus System

Autofocus performance is greatly improved over the previous E-M1 Mark 2. With a 121-point all cross-type on-chip phase detection AF sensor, the camera offers 75% vertical and 80% horizontal coverage of the screen for excellent framing versatility.

Face / Eye AF

Portrait photographers can reap the benefits of Face and Eye Priority AF. Improved AF algorithms are combined with the increased power of the TruePic IX image processor to accurately detect and track your subject for consistently tack-sharp results.

Razor Sharp Astrophotography

A Starry Sky AF mode makes it easier to nail the focus when shooting astrophotography. Using a newly developed algorithm, the E-M1 Mark 3 delivers ultra-high precision autofocus, even for the most subtle objects in the night sky, eliminating trial and error associated with manual focusing methods.

Flip-out Touchscreen + 120fps EVF

Composing your shots is a joy thanks to the amazing 2.36-million dot 120 fps high-speed electronic viewfinder. With 0.005 sec latency, you can ensure you’re able to capture those fleeting moments faithfully. The rear of the camera houses a 3-inch flip-out LCD touchscreen that is great for vlogs and selfies.

Dual Card Slots

Dual integrated SD Card slots ensure your photos and videos are saved reliably. The slots can be programmed to write to each slot sequentially, or as an instant backup to make sure that even if one of your cards stops working your images and safe and protected on the other slot.

Cutting Edge Connectivity

With Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, the E-M1 Mark III can be setup to automatically connect to your mobile device to transfer images and to remotely control the camera. It also features a modern USB connection that can be used to charge the battery in-camera, as well as a UHS-II SD card slot for lightning fast read and write speeds.

Perfect for Travel

Perfect for the travelling photographer, vlogger and Instagram native, the camera’s BLH-1 battery can be charged via a USB power adapter. This saves on having to carry around bulky chargers and cables when you’re on the road.

USB PD Compatible

The EM1 Mark 3 is also compatible with USB PD, (USB Power Delivery), allowing you to charge the camera via a compatible portable power bank. Perfect for time-lapse scenes, astrophotography and shooting in cold environments.

Comprehensive Weather Sealing

The construction of the Olympus E-M1 III encourages you to get outside and take more photos. The SSWF Filter, plus 400,000 high durability shutter is combined with a solid magnesium alloy body and extensive weather sealing to offer a professional level of dustproof, splash proof and freezeproof performance.
