Capture Rich Detail with the Olympus M.Zuiko 30mm f/3.5 Macro Lens
The Olympus M.Zuiko 30mm f/3.5 Macro Lens offers a maximum magnification of 2.5x, making it perfect for revealing close-up elements that can't be seen with the naked eye. Its circular aperture diaphragm creates a beautiful rounded bokeh, and its fast autofocus allows you to capture subtle changes with precision. Whether you're an enthusiast or a professional, this lens is perfect for shooting small insects in the wild and capturing rich detail.
Maximum Magnification of 2.5x
The lens has a maximum magnification of 2.5x (35mm equivalent), bringing you closer to the finer features of your subjects. Whether your shooting a high resolution image of someone’s pupil or a crisp shot of a bee collecting pollen from a flower stamen the lens allows you to capture super close-up photographs.
Beautiful Circular Bokeh
Using seven circular aperture blades in the diaphragm of the lens, creates a gorgeous circular shaped bokeh to create stunning dreamy imagery.
Faster Autofocus
With innovative new elements constructed out of a lighter material the autofocus is up to 30% faster than comparable lenses allowing you to capture fleeting movements with accuracy. The lens focuses internally so when the autofocus is in use, you do not have to worry about it accidently extending and touching your subject during macro photography.
Special Elements Used in Lens Construction
The Olympus 30mm f/3.5 lens has 9 elements in 7 groups, and this includes DSA (Dual Super Aspherical) and EDA (Extra-low Dispersion Aspherical) elements to produce a superb resolution. The design of the lens helps reduce the chance of any vignetting so you can capture cleaner sharper images.
Focus Bracketing Support
The Olympus lens is compatible with focus bracketing which is extremely useful when being using for focus stacked macro photography. Using the lens and a compatible camera in focus bracketing mode you can shift the focal depth while shooting multiple frame and then digitally stack the images with software to create a composite image with enhanced sharpness.
Used for Underwater Shooting
The M.Zuiko 30 mm f 3.5 Macro Lens from Olympus is compatible with housings and also with lens ports that are used for underwater shooting, meaning that it can be used it for macro photography when snorkelling or to capture incredible underwater scenes while scuba diving.
