The NiSi 52mm SMC L395 UV Filter helps to restrict the light that enters cameras to the visible spectrum by absorbing 28% of ultraviolet light waves at 395 nanometers, before which they are gradually eradicated. To maintain colour fidelity throughout the frame, blue casts that might form when capturing video or still images under daylight conditions with UV radiation are eliminated.

NiSi SMC L395 UV filters are constructed from Asahi glass for increased clarity as well as colour fidelity while providing approximately 98.5% transmission of visible light. This 52mm SMC L395 UV filter features a 3.0mm thick aluminium-alloy filter ring for durability while remaining lightweight. It minimizes the potential for vignetting and includes corresponding 52mm front filter threads for use with other screw-on filters. To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface also includes an anti-reflective, hydrophobic coating that results in an improved beading effect when in contact with water for greater cleaning efficiency.
