The Laowa Nanomorph 27mm T2.8 1.5x S35 Anamorphic Lens is a sleek and compact anamorphic lens designed for capturing high-definition video with a 1.5x anamorphic squeeze on S35 sensor cameras. It features a focal length of 27mm and comes with a PL lens mount, including an EF-mount bayonet option for versatile camera compatibility. The lens offers an aperture range from T2.8 to T22, providing both deep and shallow depth of field with its 13 iris blades, creating soft bokeh. It has a short minimum focus distance of 16.9" and delivers anamorphic characteristics such as high contrast, amber colour flares, and a 70.8° horizontal field of view. Additional features include measurement markings in feet and meters, 0.8 MOD cine gears on the focus and aperture rings, and a 77mm front filter thread. The lens is equipped with an ARRI PL mount by default and includes a Canon EF bayonet mount for enhanced camera compatibility.

Constant 1.5x Squeeze Ratio

A 1.5x squeeze ratio is a perfect balance between the size and anamorphic intensity. With a 1.5x squeeze ratio, you will have a 2.66:1 on a 16:9 sensor after de-squeeze. There is also room for you to crop into a 2.4:1 widescreen ratio.

Artistic Oval Bokeh

A 1.5x squeeze ratio also renders oval bokeh that gives an artistic touch to the image. It also creates a blurry and creamy background that pops out the subject.

Amber Anamorphic Flare Colour

Amber flares are good for narrative and warm vibes and are less common among cine lenses.

Short Focus Distance

The 16.9" close focus distance is short so users can create closer shots. It renders a shallower depth of field, so the sense of compression will be stronger and the bokeh will be more oval-shaped.

Unified Gear Position

The unified gear position allows users to switch lenses quickly and without readjustment on the focus gear.

77mm Filter Thread

A 77mm filter can be attached directly to the lens for a variety of handy setups. The small diameter is favorable when doing run-and-gun shots or utilizing it with an aerial drone.

Dual Scales

Both imperial and metric scales are printed on the lens body.

0.8 MOD Gears

Industry-standard 0.8 MOD gears are installed on both the aperture and focus rings.
