Dual Flash Heads on Articulating Arms

The Laowa KX-800 Flexible Macro Twin Flash features dual heads positioned on flexible extension arms. The unique design means you can precisely position each head independently giving you extensive control over your macro photography lighting set-up.

Flexible Lighting Setup Options

The 48cm flash arms are long enough so that you can position one of the lights as a backlight, while the flash heads themselves can be rotated up to 270° allowing you to finely tune your lighting setup to suit your subject.

High Power Output

The flash heads offer a combined guide number of 58 at ISO 100, the brightness of the KX 800 making it extremely handy for close-up macro photography involving small apertures. The lights can also be used in conjunction with a diffuser to soften the lighting while still keeping the ISO at a manageable level.

Independent Output Control

With asymmetric power control, the output from both flashes and the LED can be independently set manually with 8 levels, from full power to 1/128th. One of the flashes can even be turned off completely in order to conserve power.

Fast Recycling Time

The flash offers a recycle time of 2-5 seconds and is powered by four AA batteries. Capable of firing up to 100 full power flashes with one set of batteries, and up to 1500 times at a lower power setting.

LED Focus Assist Light

In addition to the two long articulating arms that mount the flash heads, a third flexible arm with a power adjustable LED light assists with critical focus of tiny subjects and at its strongest setting can be used as a third fill light.

Daylight Balanced Colour Temperature

The dual flash heads emit light with a daylight balanced colour temperature of 5600K to ensure natural colours when using the flash to supplement ambient outdoor lighting.

Fast Flash Duration

Incredibly useful for creative macro photography, the lights support a fast flash duration from 1/200 up to 1/20000 so that you can freeze motion, such as the movement of an insect in flight, or a flower swaying in the breeze.

Compatible with Most Cameras

The Laowa KX-800 Macro Twin Flash is equipped with a standard hot shoe and a PC sync terminal ensuring compatibility with most cameras including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax or any other camera with a standard hot shoe.

NOTE: A flash hot shoe adaptor may be needed for certain Sony cameras.
