Wide Angle Lens for Canon EF-M
The Laowa 9mm f/2.8 is a super-wide angle lens designed for Canon EF-M mirrorless cameras with APS-C size sensors. Despite its small size, the lens has the same high-quality construction as the rest of the Laowa range. The clickable aperture ring and smooth focus ring offer a tactile and easy-to-use all-manual control experience. With a super-wide 113° field of view and almost no distortion, it's perfect for capturing more of your surroundings. Whether you're shooting sweeping landscapes, imposing architecture, astrophotography or more, this little lens packs a big punch.
Ultra-Wide Angle Manual Lens for Mirrorless Systems
Designed for mirrorless cameras, the Laowa 9mm f/2.8 lens Canon EF-M offers an excellent all-manual experience. The ultra-wide 113° angle of view is ideal for capturing large amounts of scenery, whether you’re shooting landscape, architecture, or astrophotography.
Fast and Bright f/2.8 Aperture
The bright f/2.8 aperture captures sharp, clear images and provides great performance in low-light environments. A tactile ‘clicked’ aperture ring coupled with the silky smooth focus ring gives you confident control over the look and feel of your image.
Minimise Distortion
One of the widest lenses available in its class, the Laowa 9 mm f2.8 practically eliminates distortion, resulting in accurate, high-quality images with excellent clarity and detail from edge to edge. This is great for technical work and also helps reduce the amount of time spent in post processing.
15 Elements in 10 Groups
The optical design consists of 15 elements arranged in 10 groups. 3 extra-low dispersion elements help improve colour and contrast while the 2 aspherical elements work to reduce distortion for better overall sharpness across your entire image.
Moisture and Dust Repellent Coating
This lens also features Laowa’s much-loved ‘Frog Eye’ hydrophobic coating on the front element. The coating works to actively repel dust and moisture, preventing it from gathering or smearing on the front of your lens so your photos stay sharp and clear no matter where you are.
Minimum Focus Distance of 12 cm
With a short minimum focus distance of just 12 cm, the 9mm lens lets you get up close and personal with your subjects. This means you can get creative with perspective and explore even more unique image and video possibilities with a super wide field of view.
Compact, Lightweight Build with 49mm Filter Thread
Topping off the Laowa 9mm f2.8 Zero D lens Canon EF-M is its noticeably small, all-metal body. Not only is it durable, it’s also lightweight, so you’ll have no trouble slipping it into your gear bag for hikes, day-trips, or overseas travel. It even has a 49mm front thread so you can protect your front element as well as get creative with filter options.
