The Laowa 60mm f/2.8 2X Ultra-Macro Lens for Sony A-mount is a versatile prime portrait-length lens that offers exceptional close-up capabilities with a 2:1 magnification ratio and a minimum focusing distance of 2.4". It also provides infinity focus with a 0.1x magnification, making it ideal for both macro and general photography without the need for extension tubes or adapters. Optimised for APS-C sensors, this lens delivers a 90mm equivalent focal length, and while it can be used on full-frame DSLRs, some vignetting may occur at infinity focus. The lens features a nine-element-in-seven-group construction, with two moving lens groups to minimise barrel distortion and enhance image clarity, sharpness, and colour accuracy. Its rounded 14-blade diaphragm offers smooth out-of-focus quality, ideal for selective focus techniques. The all-metal lens barrel ensures durability, and the built-in lens hood helps prevent flare and ghosting. A protective filter pouch and a 62mm UV filter are included with the lens.
