This filter appears grey and reduces the amount of light that reaches the film, without changing the colour balance. The ACCU-ND technology in the Hoya 49mm Pro ND16 Filter Neutral Density ensures a neutral colour balance, without adding any noticeable colour cast to your images. This PROND series is designed for still photography and HDSLR video markets. The Metallic ACCU-ND coating on the PROND filters prevents colour shifting when you move from one density to the next, which is a common issue with other neutral density filters.

Now you can set your white balance once and have the same Colour balance even if you need to change filters due to changes in lighting, or for creative effect.
