The Fujinon XF 18 mm f/2 R Lens is a compact and lightweight wide-angle pancake type lens designed specifically for Fujifilm X mount compact system cameras. It offers a 27mm (35mm equivalent) field of view, enhanced resolution and light volume in image edge areas, as well as reduced chromatic aberration for exceptional image quality. This lens is made with an all-glass aspherical lens and other elements, polished to perfection and treated with Super EBC coating.
Taking full advantage of the mirrorless design, the mount boasts a short flange-back distance, wider opening and deeper mounting of the lens. This results in reduction of back focus distance, achieving high resolution extending to the image edge areas, and reducing vignetting and colour shading. The lens features high-quality metal construction incorporating a 1/3-stop increment aperture ring. A large maximum f/2 aperture ensures excellent low-light performance, along with its 7-bladed circular aperture, delivers beautiful rendering of "bokeh" or out-of-focus areas.
