Capture Cinematic Quality Video
The Fujifilm MKX 50-135mm T/2.9 lens allows you to capture cinematic quality video with X series cameras like the X-H1 and X-T2. Weighing in at around 1kg, this lens has a constant T/2.9 aperture and an optical design that minimises focus and optical axis shifting when zooming. 22 optical elements, including super ED and ED elements, ensure the lens can deliver edge-to-edge clarity. Plus, it supports electrical communication, making it easy to communicate with the camera and minimise image distortion.
Telephoto 50-135mm Cine Lens
The lens has a telephoto reach with a focal range of 50-135mm (76-206mm in 35mm equivalent) which allows you to capture a massive range of framings for your scene. When paired with the MKX 18-55mm, the MKX lenses cover the most frequently used focal range of 18mm to 135mm for ultimate versatility.
Constant T/2.9 Iris at all Focal Lengths
With a fast T/2.9 aperture throughout the entire zoom range the lens can help create excellent footage with a stunning shallow depth of field with outstanding bokeh. The bright T-stop of 2.9 also allows your camera’s sensor to collect more light, which can reduce the need for complicated heavy-duty lighting setups.
Advanced Optics Designed for Video Shooting
Elements included in the lens design are moved independently, to help control focus and optical axis shifts while zooming. Focus breathing is greater reduced with the use of an inner-focusing system that results in smoother focus pulls to improve the production value of your project.
Designed with 22 Elements in 17 Groups
22 optical elements are arranged in 17 groups, including 2 super extra low dispersion elements and 2 extra low dispersion elements for the edge-to-edge sharpness required by today’s 4K video imaging capabilities.
Focus, Zoom and Aperture Manual Control Rings
Precise independent adjustment of iris, focus and zoom settings is possible with three manual geared control wheels on the lens. The mechanical focus control removes any risk of lag that can be found in “focus-by-wire” lenses, while a wide 200° rotation range for the focus ring ensures smooth focus pulls. The iris is de-clicked for easy exposure and depth-of-field adjustments.
Lens Mount with Electrical Contacts
Communication between lens and camera is possible because the lens has electrical contacts that send information to the camera to reduce image distortion, colour and brightness shading while also supporting the full use of Fujifilm’s Film Simulation modes.
Standard Design for Easy Accessory Use
With a standardised design the MKX 50-135mm and MKX 18-55mm lens share the same filter thread size, are compatible with the same size matte boxes and the control wheels on each lens are in the same positions for easy compatibility with follow focus setups. The rings have the same gear pitch of 0.8M for consistent performance across the board.
Adjustable Focal Flange
The flange focal distance on the lens can be fine-tuned to suit individual cameras for better matching between both, to ensure operators get the best performance out of their video rigs.
Macro Function with 0.85m Object Distance
With a minimum focusing distance of 0.85m at the wide end the lens has an impressive close-up focusing ability for a telephoto lens.
Lightweight Lens with Compact Build
Featuring a compact and lightweight build that tips the scales at around 1kg, the Fujinon MKX 50-135mm T/2.9 X-mount lens is ideally suited for video production.
