This means that you get a reliable Speedlight that can shoot more flashes to capture multiple action packed shots with ease. The amount of shooting increases dramatically as well when combined with the CP-E4N (not included)battery pack.
Enhanced Flash Firing Algorithm
The flash system features an improved firing algorithm which controls recycling time in increments and this leads to better power management. This results in a reduction of tube related damage that can arise from continuous firing making sure your equipment lasts longer.
Guide Number of 60m at ISO 100
The Speedlite 600EX II-RT is versatile with a guide number of 60m at ISO 100 and can be used for in a variety of environments whether you’re in a tight space or outdoors. In terms of focal length the flash coverage extends from 20mm to 200mm and there is an extendable panel included which can be used to increase the flash range to 14mm to make your flash is hitting the entire scene even when you’re shooting wide angle shots.
Zoom Matches Sensor Size

Optical and Wireless Transmission
Combining the ability to use either optical or wireless transmission the dual flash system can be set up quickly and efficiently but also offers extensive customisation options for the more discerning strobist. Optical triggering allows the units to be combined with older flash units and the wireless trigger can fire flash units up to 30m away offering great potential for photographers to use creatively.
Included ST-E3-RT Transmitter
With the ST-E3-RT transmitter included in the bundle you can take advantage of a whopping 5 groups wirelessly for easy set up large multi light rigs and the 15 available wireless channels for precision control of your flashes perfectly suited for multi flash setups like those used by interior photographers. Offering support for E-TTL II, manual flash, stroboscopic and auto external flash metering the ST-E3-RT is an incredibly versatile controller.
Radio Frequency Triggering
An operating radio frequency of 2.4 Ghz gives the bundle a significant advantage over other wireless systems by ensuring that physical obstacles don’t interfere with the signal so your flashes fire when you want them to regardless of what’s in front of them.
Wireless ID Code Control
ID Controlled Wireless Triggering avoids misfiring if you’re shooting in studios with other flash systems in wireless range. ID Control allows you to enter a 4 digit locking code that turns your flash rig into a closed system with no danger of interference from other controllers.
LCD Displays
LCD panels on the ST-E3-RT transmitter and the Speedlights displays status of the wireless configuration and individual settings of the flashes. The buttons on the flashes and transmitter are backlit and the LCD panels are customisable with your choice of background colours.
Quick Recycling and Fully Manual Settings
The 600EX II-RT has a recycle time of 0.1-5.5 seconds in normal mode, but this can be decreased to 0.1-3.3 seconds in the Quick Flash mode so you can start using flash faster straight after it has been fired. The power can be set manually from 1/1 to 1/128 in 1/3-stop increments allowing you increased control over the duration of the flash when you are taking shots.
Dust and Water Resistant
Built with a dust and water resistant design the 600EX II-RT matches the build of the Canon’s EOS-1D camera range. The adapter on the Speedlites lock tightly around the camera hot shoe and ensure you can use the flashes with your weather sealed camera confidently in any climate.
Tilting and Rotation Available for Bounce Flash
