The Canon RF 35mm F/1.8 IS Macro STM lens is a fantastic addition to Canon's new R-Mount line-up. With a bright f1.8 aperture, you'll have excellent depth of field control and lowlight performance. Versatile 35mm Focal Length

The Canon RF 35mm IS lens is newly designed for the R-mount mirrorless camera systems. Ever popular, the wide 35mm focal length works well in a wide variety of shooting scenarios, from travel snapshots, to landscapes. It offers a natural view of your subject matter with very little distortion to the image.

Bright f/1.8 Aperture

A fast, bright f1.8 aperture works beautifully in lowlight conditions, great for capturing scenery or portraits in dimly lit environments. It also gives your close-up shots a more dramatic look with a smoothly blurred background that really makes your subject pop.

Image Stabilisation

The 35mm RF lens features built-in image stabilisation to help compensate for any little movements or vibration during handheld shooting. This works when taking photos and video, resulting in sharp images and steady footage that's easy to view and share.

Fast, Reliable Autofocus

Driving the lens's autofocus system is an STM motor that offers fast, accurate focusing. Internal focusing means the lens doesn't move or change size as you focus so it won't interfere with your composition or the use of CP and ND filters. Of course, when you need to fine-tune your focus, simply switch into manual mode for control at your fingertips.

Customisable Control Ring

Aside from the focus ring, the 35mm RF lens also features a secondary customisable control ring that allows you to adjust settings like aperture, shutter speed, or ISO from the lens itself for a much more intuitive way of creating your perfect image. 

Macro Capabilities for Detailed Close-Ups

A close 17cm minimum focal distance and 0.5x maximum magnification that lets you get up close and personal with small subjects. This versatility opens up a world of creative possibility, allowing you to go from capturing landscapes, to detailed macro-style shots at a moment's notice.

11 Elements in 9 Groups

The optical construction consists of 11 elements in 9 groups arranged to minimise chromatic aberrations and spherical distortion even at the edges of the frame. The elements have a Super Spectra Coating to help prevent reflections and flaring. This offers improved contrast and colour fidelity for super-sharp, clear high-quality images.

Aperture Blades for Better Bokeh

A rounded 9-blade diaphragm opening helps create a more rounded looking 'bokeh' effect in the out of focus background and highlights in your images. This smooth, softly blurred background puts more focus onto your subject without causing distracting background elements.
