Nano USM Focus Drive System

Autofocus is ultra-quick, quiet and incredibly accurate thanks to the Nano Ultra-sonic Motor (USM) that drives the lens elements when autofocus is enabled. The lens also allows you to get up close and personal with your subject with a 28cm minimal focusing distance.

L-Series Optical Performance

As with all Canon L-series lenses a huge emphasis has been placed on image performance which is why the RF 15-35mm uses an sophisticated optical construction made up of 16 elements, 3 of which are 3 glass-moulded aspherical elements, carefully arranged in 12 groups. The elements are also treated with a SWC (Subwavelength Structure Coating) and an ASC (Air Sphere Coating) that controls ghosting and flaring to create ultra-sharp images with excellent contrast even when shooting in backlit conditions.

The Canon R-Series 15-35mm F2.8 IS USM L-Series Lens is designed for working photographers and video shooters with incredible optical performance and handling. Switches for image stabilisation and manual focus provide instant access to the functions of the lens and the customisable control ring can be set to control ISO to exposure comp and everything in between. The lens is also dust and water resistant thanks to a Fluorine lens coating and a rubber ring at the lens mount, ensuring it can stand up the rigours of daily use in a range of weather conditions.
