Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II

The Canon Powershot G5 X Mark II improves the classic G5 X with a refined design and style, while super-charging the performance with a stacked CMOS sensor and DIGIC 8 Processor for 4K video capture, 120fps slow motion and 30fps RAW burst shooting. The OLED viewfinder ensures that you can still frame your shot with absolute precision, but now it has a pop-up design that tucks away inside the camera body when not in use. This makes the camera powerful but also more compact and portable.

Stacked CMOS 20.1-Megapixel Sensor

Using a brand-new 20.1-megapixel CMOS sensor from Canon with an innovative stacked design, the G5 X Mark II delivers unprecedented readout speeds that make 4K video, Full HD at 120fps as well as an impressive RAW burst speed of 30fps possible. The ISO range has also been extended up to 25600 for low-light shooting.

DIGIC 8 High Speed Image Processor

None of these high-speed features would be possible without an image processor up to the task of crunching the massive amount of data produced by the stacked sensor. Luckily Canon have used the DIGIC 8 processor, used in the popular R-series of mirrorless cameras.

5x Optical Zoom Lens with f/1.8-2.8 Aperture

Boasting an improved zoom range from 24-120mm (35mm equivalent), the G5XM2 now offers a massive 5x optical zoom while keeping the bright f/1.8 aperture at the widest end. The super-bright aperture only stops down to f/2.8 when the lens is fully extended, ensuring that you can capture more light in darker conditions and create stunningly shallow depth-of-field shots with the lens' 9-blade circular aperture.

Ultra-High-Resolution 4K & Super Slow Full HD at 120fps

Video shooters will rejoice that the improved performance of the G5 X ii now means the camera can record ultra-high resolution 4K video as well as incredibly slow Full HD footage at up to 120fps.  The 4K footage doesn’t crop so you can enjoy the complete wide-angle view from your lens.

Pop-up Electronic Viewfinder

For many photographers having a viewfinder is an absolute necessity, to frame a shot in super-bright conditions or focus exclusively on the scene at hand. The G5 X MII has a brand new 2.36 million-dot OLED viewfinder with a flexible design that retracts inside the body of the camera, making the whole camera more compact and lightweight.

30fps RAW Image Capture and 0.5 Second Pre-Burst

It isn’t just the video that has been supercharged, the G5X II is also able to capture blazingly fast stills as well, with a new RAW capture mode that capture 30 frames-per-second with an electronic shutter. It also features a pre-burst mode that records 15 shots in 0.5 seconds, before you even press the button, providing unprecedented capture speeds in full RAW resolution.

3-inch LCD Tilting Touchscreen

The adjustable LCD screen at the back of the camera can be tilted up 180°, perfect for self-portraits and for vlogging. The flexible screen angle also allows you to explore more creative angles for unique perspectives.

Wi-Fi and Automatic Bluetooth Image Transfer

With integrated Wi-Fi that can be used to remotely control and trigger the camera, as well as built-in Bluetooth that enables automatic image transfer for super easy sharing. This takes the guesswork out of sharing your images and video clips with your friends, family and followers.

Adding minimal weight to your camera set-up, this is a product that you can literally carry around in your pocket, making it a great product to use when you’re travelling or on the go.
