Compact Size, Broad Appeal

The Canon EOS M6 II is designed to appeal to a broad range of users. Its compact size is combined with a stacked list of features to make it just right for everyone, including those just getting into photography, all the way to creatives trying to build an international audience on YouTube or Instagram.

32.5 Megapixel Sensor

At its heart, the M6 MkII features a 32.5 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor that delivers uncompromising detail in your photos and videos. Great for landscapes, portraits, food photos, holiday snaps, vlogs and more, its incredible megapixel count allows you to print poster sized images and record 4K ultra-high definition video at maximum quality.

Fast DIGIC 8 Processor

The sensor is complemented by a DIGIC8 image processor, the same as found on Canon’s flagship EOS R mirrorless camera.  Responsible for its vivid, high-contrast colours and excellent dynamic range, the processor works well to ensure the detail captured on the high pixel density sensor is being fully utilised for beautifully rendered images every time.

14fps Continuous Shooting

The DIGIC8 also provides the M6 II with incredible shooting speed. Enable the continuous shooting mode to unlock a 14 frames per second continuous shooting mode with full auto focus tracking. Incredibly useful for capturing sports, wildlife and other unpredictable events.

30fps RAW Burst Mode

If you require more speed while shooting in a controlled environment, the M6 II also features a 30 frames per second RAW burst mode, allowing you to freeze those decisive moments with ease. Amazing images such as a water balloon mid-pop or other photographic experiments can be captured with much less trial and error.

Ultra-Fast Electronic Shutter

Activate the electronic shutter mode to truly freeze fast motion. With a maximum shutter speed of 1/16000 sec, compared to 1/4000 sec with a mechanical shutter, means you can capture moments imperceptible to the human eye.

4K30 @ Full HD 120fps Video

But the speed doesn’t just stop at photos. Your ability to shoot 4K video at 30p or Full HD video at 120p opens a world of creative potential. The ultra-high definition recording capability could be used for detailed scenes or creative cropping, while Full HD movies can be utilised for cinematic 4x slow motion sequences. This amazing versatility gives vloggers and YouTubers more opportunity to produce unique, high quality content.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF

You can be sure your photos and videos are in focus thanks to Canon’s amazing Dual Pixel CMOS Autofocus System. With 143 AF points across the frame to ensure no compromises are made in your framing and image composition.

Eye Detection Auto Focus

Advancements in Canon’s autofocus algorithms now support Eye Detection AF, allowing the camera to maintain focus on a subject’s eye, ensuring a true connection between your subject and your audience. Essential for tack-sharp portrait photos, selfies and vlogs, and especially helpful when shooting with an ultra-shallow depth of field.

Touch and Drag AF

Create cinematic focusing effects with the Touch and Drag autofocus capability. Simply touch to focus, then drag to another subject within the frame and the camera will smoothly transition the focus from your original point to the new point. Great for b-roll footage and transitioning from the foreground to the background or vice versa.

Intuitive 3-inch Touch Screen

The rear of the M6 Mark II houses a 3-inch 1.04 million dot LCD touchscreen. The touch capability of the screen enables the intuitive menu navigation and supports pinch and swipe actions for a familiar user experience during playback.

Flip-Up Screen Design

Its ability to tilt up 180° makes light work of framing and composition when shooting selfies or filming a vlog. Its ability to tilt downwards at 45° ensures shooting from low and high angles without having to guess your composition ensures you get the perfect shot every time.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Connectivity

Built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity further expands your creative potential. Using your smartphone and the free Canon app (iPhone and Android compatible) allows you to wirelessly control the camera. This makes it easier for one-person productions such as vlogs to set the camera on a tripod and check your framing, change camera settings and begin recording without having to go back-and-forth between the camera.

Includes EVF-DC2 OLED Viewfinder

The EOS M6II includes the EVF-DC2 Electronic Viewfinder to offer you a more DSLR style shooting experience. Attaching via the hot-shoe on the top of the camera, the optional viewfinder features a 2.36 million-dot resolution OLED display, crucial for checking optimal sharpness and shooting in bright daylight conditions.

Includes 15-45mm Lens

The Canon EOS M6 Mark II is designed for holiday makers, and everyday creatives. Its uncompromising speed and image quality combined in a compact body and the included 15-45mm Lens combined with its ability to support extensive range of glass across Canon’s EF and EF-M mount ensures it will support you well into your artistic journey.
