The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV is a high performance camera featuring an impressive 30.4 megapixel full frame CMOS sensor, a 3.2” touchscreen LCD Monitor and 7 frames per second of continuous shooting. It introduces 4K video recording into the 5D line-up as well as Canon’s innovative Dual Pixel RAW technology. Designed with both professional photographers and videographers in mind, the 5D IV delivers incredible results in any shooting scenario.
High Resolution 30.4 Megapixel Sensor
Flaunting a cutting edge 30.4 megapixel full frame sensor the Canon 5D Mk IV is able to capture a stunning 6720×4480 pixel images for ultra-high detail results. The increased megapixel count enhances the ability to crop into your shots, allowing for even more flexibility in post-production editing while preserving image quality.
Mirror Shake Suppression
The camera features a mirror vibration control system to supress any camera shake blur in order to ensure tack sharp results. The combination of high pixel output and vibration control means that you can be confident hand shooting high resolution images for advertising campaigns or exhibition work.
Upgraded DIGIC 6+ Processor
Canon adds the DIGIC 6+ Processor to the 5D series allowing an impressive 7 frames per second of continuous capture. The increased performance makes it perfect for photojournalism, weddings, or any fast paced photographic shoot. The new chip increases the readout speed from the sensor and helps to deliver enhanced image processing capabilities.
Dual Pixel RAW
Canon’s new Dual Pixel RAW file is an absolute game changer for photography, offering improved sharpness and a whole host of scrumptious features. By analysing the depth information provided by Canon’s dual pixel sensor, a post-process micro adjustment is possible, enabling tweaking of the final image to maximise sharpness.
Ground-breaking Post-Production Features
Ghosting and flare can be reduced with the Dual Pixel RAW files and it is even possible to shift the foreground bokeh in post-production providing photographers with a level of precision image control never before seen in a DSLR system.
Infra-red and RGB Metering Sensor
A 150,000 pixel metering sensor operates in a range of lighting conditions by reading both normal colour spectrums and infra-red light, split into 252 metering zones to ensure perfect exposure. The camera also offers anti-flicker shooting which is perfect for any scenes with artificial lighting like indoor sporting events.
4K Video Recording at 24, 25 and 30 fps
Building on the popularity of the 5D Mark III amongst videographers and filmmakers the Mark IV introduces true DCI 4K video (4096x2160) recording ability so that you can create ultra-high resolution footage and take advantage of the post production stabilisation and video cropping benefits of 4K.
8.8 Megapixel Stills from Video
The 5D IV includes a 4K photo mode, allowing you to export a high quality 8.8 megapixel jpeg frame from footage shot in 4K. This essentially means the Mark IV can shoot stills at up to 30 frames a second, ensuring ultra-fast action and decisive moments are captured with ease.
Slow Motion Video Capture
The improved readout speed from the processor also enables the camera to shoot 1080p video at 59fps and 119fps at 720p, making it possible to slow down the footage to create dreamy ethereal video scenes or capture quick movements with ease. The camera can also be connected to an external video recorder and outputs 4:2:2 video footage to ensure maximum creative versatility in post-production.
High Resolution Touchscreen LCD
The inclusion of a 3.2-inch touchscreen LCD means that you can set the auto focus point easily on the back screen and also pull focus between subjects when shooting video. It uses 1.62 million dots on the panel so you can review your images and video in high resolution to notice every detail.
61 Dual Pixel Autofocus Points
Using Dual Pixel technology also allows the Mark IV to deliver impressive focus results in both video and photo shooting. The camera uses a 61-point autofocus system to ensure quick and accurate performance with enhanced tracking across the frame. The focus system can operate in low light up to -3EV so it’s perfect for photojournalists who need reliable focus in demanding situations.
41 Cross-type Autofocus Points
With its 41 cross-type AF points, the camera offers lightning fast focus along both the vertical and the horizontal plane, the enhanced focus points make this camera perfect for sports or fast action shooting.
Astonishing Low Light Performance
The ISO range of the Canon 5D4 can be expanded all the way up to 102400 providing a massive variety of possible exposure adjustments and flexibility regardless of your lighting conditions. With a native ISO reaching up to 32000 and an enhanced noise reduction algorithm the low light performance of the camera is incredible making it one of the most versatile cameras on the market.
Additional Features
Crammed with a stack of on board processing and hardware add-ons the 5D mark IV features built-in Wi-Fi and NFC, a 2 axis electronic level, a time-lapse movie mode and Dual CF and SD card slots. It also boasts a new picture style “Fine Detail” which takes advantage of the new sensor to maximise image sharpness and clarity in-camera.
Robust and Weather Proof
Featuring a rugged magnesium alloy body the Canon 5D Mark 4 is weather and dust sealed to provide the upmost confidence even when shooting in hostile environments. This robust construction is perfectly matched to professionals who expect their gear to be able to handle some wear and tear and still consistently perform.
This kit includes the Canon 5DIV Camera Body + Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II Lens
