Versatile Zoom Range

Delivering a 35mm equivalent wide-angle zoom range of 18-36mm, the lens excels in shooting sweeping landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes and more. Its 12 element, 9 group construction produces sharp images with excellent colour reproduction across the entire frame.

Built-in IS Image Stabilisation

The built-in IS image stabilisation offers a 3-stop advantage when shooting in less than ideal lighting conditions. It provides improved image sharpness and greater exposure control, producing consistently sharp results, especially when shooting handheld.

Supports Dynamic IS Movie Recording

The system is also compatible with Canon's 'Dynamic IS', offering a wider range of correction and silky smooth results during video or movie recording.

Fast STM Autofocus Motor

Autofocus is handled by a linear stepping motor (STM) for fast, accurate focus lock and smooth, virtually silent operation when filming video.
