The Boya BY-BM3030 Shotgun Microphone is a compact lightweight condenser mic that captures studio-quality audio that can dramatically improve the quality of your video content. With an integrated shock mount that reduces vibrations, the microphone is designed to either slot on top of your camera’s hot shoe or be attached to a boom pole or lighting stand using the 1/4-inch socket.

Super Cardioid On-camera Shotgun Mic

A cardioid pickup pattern ensures audio is picked up from in front while rejecting distracting ambient noise towards the back of the microphone for clearer sounding results. That’s perfect because the microphone is intended to be mounted on top of your camera by slotting into the hot shoe.

Built-in Shock Absorbing Mount

The microphone reduces vibrations from bumps or knocks with a shock absorbing mount that suspends the microphone with a rubber construction. The base of the shock mount also has a 1/4-inch socket that allows the microphone to be attached to a boom pole or stand.

3.5mm Audio Output Socket

As well as a 3.5mm line output audio socket, the BY-BM3030 also has a headphone port that allows you to monitor your audio in real-time.

Powered by 2x AA Batteries

The mic can be powered by 2 small AA batteries (not included) for an impressive 150 hours of operation. Conveniently stored in a compartment located just under the microphone, the batteries can be replaced without needing to unmount the microphone.

Includes a Foam Windscreen and Fur Wind Cover

The Boya BY BM3030 is a super versatile microphone with a removable foam windscreen as well as an additional fur wind cover that reduces wind noise when recording audio outside. It also has the bonus of working as a pop filter to reduce plosives that can cause distortion.
