The Splash Drone 3 Auto from SwellPro is a waterproof drone that you can fly confidently over water. It can take-off and land over water, float on the surface, and fly in tough weather conditions like strong wind and rain. It is sand proof, perfect for beach environments, and features an anti-corrosion housing that protects it from salty sea water. The attached waterproof camera is gimbal stabilised and records 4k video and high resolution still images from the air or underwater. You can even watch the real-time camera footage from the 5-inch display on the remote controller. The Splash Drone 3 Auto can also deliver 1kg payloads to as far as 1.3km, which is incredible for rescue applications.

Land and Take-Off on Water

The Splash Drone 3 Auto is designed to do everything a standard drone does, but with the freedom to do it over water. Not only can it float and take off from the water’s surface, but the attached camera can also survive submersion, allowing you to see and capture images below the waterline.

The drone’s body is made of extremely durable 3mm reinforced ABS with water tight seals allowing it to withstand prolonged periods on the water. All external parts are made of high-quality stainless steel that’s specially coated to resist sea water corrosion leaving you free to explore the skies in any weather.

Powerful All-Weather Propulsion System

The drone uses custom 620kv motors to balance torque, power, and efficiency. The propulsion system is also custom coated to prevent salt water corrosion, and is optimised to operate in all weather conditions and tough environments so you can take it out in the pouring rain, strong winds, snowfall, or icy cold water as low as -10C° while you sit at a comfortable distance.

Quick Release Carbon Fibre Propellers

Large ultra-lightweight carbon fibre propellers are durable enough to withstand rough waves while offering aerodynamic flight and lifting capacity. The propellers’ quick release self-tightening mechanism enables secure and tool-less mounting and release to reduce assembly time and get your drone in the air faster.

High Performance Waterproof Camera

The camera features a drip-free glass lens with an f/2.0 aperture capable of shooting a panoramic 106° view without distortion. Using a 1/2.3 inch CMOS sensor, the camera offers an impressive ISO range of 100-1600 to capture sharp images and video even when flying in low light conditions, perfect for capturing a beach sunset.

4K Video and High Resolution Still Images

The on-board camera can shoot 4K video at up to 24fps and at 60fps in HD for smooth playback. It can also capture beautiful 14 Megapixel 16:9 still images. Check and change camera settings via the drone’s remote controller. Splash Drone 3 Auto uses microSD cards to store your footage.

2-Axis Waterproof Gimbal

An integrated 2-axis gimbal eliminates unwanted camera movement and vibration to deliver smooth videos and sharp images from the air and underwater. With an IP67 rating, it’s able to withstand dust and water while it’s in action. It also lets you manually adjust horizontal and vertical camera tilting with the remote controller allowing you to find the ideal angle for your shot.

Remote Controller with 5-Inch Display Screen

With conveniently located joysticks and control buttons, the remote gives you complete command over the camera, gimbal, and aircraft controls. The remote’s bright 5-inch colour LCD screen can be tilted, allowing for visibility even on sunny days outside. The done sends real-time flight data back to the remote monitor for a live video feed with information like flight mode, speed, altitude and distance, so you can learn how to fly like a pro in almost no time.

Up to 1.3 Km Operational Range

Navigation and camera controls operate on a 2.4GHz frequency with up to 1.3km of range while video can be streamed from a range of 1km through a 5.8GHz wireless system for an uninterrupted and lag-¬free live view. If the drone flies out of video range, you know it’s time to fly back home. Video transmission offers a selection of 40 channels with customisable transmission power levels to help conserve battery power.

Auto Return Home

If communication with the remote is lost or the drone flies out of range, a Return Home function will activate and return Splashdrone to its take-off point automatically. It can also be triggered by using the remote. Through the Swellpro Fly smartphone app, the point of return can also be manually set giving you peace of mind even when the signal is lost.

Smart Flight Control System

The new generation S3 flight controller connects to up to 24 satellites using GPS and GLONASS to provide accurate positioning and reliable navigation. Its programming constantly monitors the system for errors and maintains data backups for a safer and more reliable flight.

Modular Design

With a modular design, the drone quickly adapts to various types of missions and applications. The Splash Drone 3 Auto comes equipped with a 4k camera and gimbal for aerial filming or survey work over water or land. You can remove the gimbal and fly the drone for recreation, or mount a payload release module (not included) to release bait for long line fishing or to deliver lifesaving equipment with payload capacity up to 1kg.

Smart Flight Modes

App based autonomous flight modes help create professional aerial footage even if you have no experience of piloting a drone.

• Follow Me Mode: The drone will constantly follow and record you.
• Mission Planning Mode: instructs the drone to automatically fly along a pre-designated path through several waypoints that have been pre-set using the APP.
• Tap to Fly: The drone automatically navigates to a location selected on the map.

Up to 16 Minutes Flight Time

High efficiency motors and a large 5,200 mAh Lithium Polymer battery provides an estimated flight time of up to 16 minutes (with gimbal and camera installed). The battery is easily replaceable to extend flying time, and remaining battery level is indicated through a blinking icon on the remote’s LCD screen so you don’t have any unwanted surprises during your flight.

Control via Mobile App

Using the Swellpro Fly App you can get a live view from the drone's camera, control camera settings and take pictures or videos through your Android or iOS device. In addition, linking your smartphone with the included Bluetooth ground station enables you to activate various smart flight modes that make flying and capturing aerial footage easier than ever.
