Professional Image Quality
The Olympus M.Zuiko ED 300mm f/4 IS PRO lens is designed with professional sports and wildlife photographers in mind. Its class-leading image stabilisation (IS) performance delivers unparalleled shooting versatility and impressive detail photos and video.
Unparalleled Image Stabilisation
When paired with a compatible camera body such as the E-M1 or E-M5II, the stabilisation system delivers a class leading 6-stop advantage to ensure maximum detail and clarity. Compatible cameras allow Sync IS functionality, combining the 5-axis image stabilisation found on selected Olympus camera bodies with the built-in lens image stabilisation system to offer unparalleled vibration compensation.
Powerful 600mm Focal Range (35mm equiv.)
This co-operative level of stabilisation is required to maximise the 600mm equivalent focal range the lens delivers when mounted to a Micro Four Thirds camera body, ensuring suitability for sports, wildlife, bird watching and more.
1.4m Minimum Focusing Distance
A minimum focusing distance of just 1.4 metres results in a maximum magnification of 0.24x, allowing you to capture macro-style detail with ease.
Super ED, HR and E-HR Lens Elements
High performance optics are utilised to ensure optimum clarity and colour reproduction are achieved. The 300mm PRO lens uses a sophisticated 17 element, 10 group design consisting of 3 Super ED (Super Extra-Low Dispersion) lens elements, 3 HR (High-Refractive index) lens elements and an E-HR (Extra-High Refractive index) element.
Z Coating Nano Anti-Reflective Technology
They are combined with a Z Coating Nano anti-reflective material to produce an amazingly image or video with high resolution detail, accurate colour reproduction and brilliant edge-to-edge sharpness.
Built-in Retractable Lens Hood
A built-in retractable lens hood design helps reduce flare and ghosting while improving contrast and colour accuracy. It also makes the lens easier to store and more practical to use, while adding an extra layer of protection against scratches to your front element.
Ultra-Fast AF Performance
Its focusing performance is built to match its superb optical characteristics, delivering extremely fast, accurate focusing speeds from infinity to 5m in just 400ms. This blistering performance is a must for tracking birds, wildlife and when shooting the unpredictability of fast moving sport action.
