The Essentials:
The Nikon Coolpix P900 is an ultra-zoom bridge camera with a 16-megapixel resolution and an impressive 83x optical zoom so you can capture sharp images and Full HD video from a distance. One of the best cameras for travel, the P900 is also the most versatile super-zoom bridge camera money can buy. Take this powerful camera with you on your next travel adventure and see the world in a whole new way.
16 Megapixel Sensor
Featuring a 16 Megapixel Backlit CMOS Sensor, the camera is able to capture high quality images at up to 7 frames per second. A quick startup and rapid autofocus with reduced shooting time lag at wide angle focal lengths ensures that you’ll always be ready to capture candid story-telling moments.
Spectacular Zoom Range
The integrated 83x optical zoom Nikkor lens with ED glass has an unprecedented equivalent focal range of 24mm to 2000mm. This camera gives you the ability to shoot wide landscapes and sweeping environmental photographs then zoom into the image to capture details at the telephoto range that are beyond visibility to the human eye. The Dynamic Fine Zoom further extends the reach of the lens, allowing for 166x zoom or a 4000mm equivalent view.
The Snap-Back zoom button allows you to rapidly zoom out of an image for easier tracking and zoom back in for final framing.
Impressive 5 Stop Advantage VR
Nikon’s excellent Dual Detect Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) system provides a 5-stop shutter speed advantage to image stability to keep your photos and videos sharp even at telephoto lengths. Use of the integrated 0.2-inch electronic viewfinder in conjunction with the ergonomic hand grip and VR further stabilises the camera.
Vari-angle Screen
A large 3.0-inch flip out screen makes it easy to perfectly compose beautiful storytelling photos. Comfortably explore creative angles in your photos and video with a simple tilt of the screen, and easily compose selfies with the accurate high-resolution 921k-dot resolution LCD. The EVF features a similarly high resolution 921k-dot resolution display.
Full HD 1080p Video
For moments where a still image isn’t quite enough, the P900 is able to record Full HD video at 1920 x 1080/60p with stereo sound for silky smooth playback. A time-lapse movie function is also included and allows users to record dramatic footage of landscapes and scenes changing over a long period of time within a 10 second automatically compiled movie.
Take Your Photography to the Next Level
While the camera can be used with one button point and shoot convenience, advanced shooters can utilise full manual, aperture and shutter priority modes to manipulate exposure and best capture their artistic vision. A number of special filters and effects are built into the camera and can be applied to photos for additional creative versatility.
Highly Connected Camera
The Nikon P 900 has integrated WiFi and NFC connections that make it quick and easy to upload photos wirelessly to compatible smartphones and tablets and to share your adventures to friends and family everywhere. Nikon snapbridge enables wireless remote operation – take accurately framed photos from dramatic angles and perspectives, and easily take group shots.
The camera’s built-in GPS quickly and accurately pinpoints and plots location information so you can relive your memories and follow the path of your adventures in a digital photo journal. Points of Interests highlights nearby photo lookouts and landmarks, making the Nikon Coolpix P900 the perfect travel companion.
