Close Focus Functionality

Another great aspect of this lens is the Close Focus function. This allows you to focus on subjects as close as 24cm, which is quite near, considering the focal length. Using this feature lets you get super-sharp images at close range. The lens automatically stops down when you're a short distance from your subject, giving you exceptional image quality without having to think about it.

OLED Display

On the lens barrel, you'll also notice a unique OLED screen. It displays focus distance and depth of field in bright, clear measurements. This is also especially beneficial when working in lowlight, taking the guesswork away so you can concentrate on what's important.

The lens has 9 elements arranged in 8 groups, including special aspherical lenses that help minimise distortion. Built with Zeiss's highly advanced Floating Element optical design. Advanced Anti-Reflective Coatings

To enhance optical performance even further, each element has a proprietary Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating applied. This helps cut out reflections caused by stray light hitting the lens from an angle. This results in images with better contrast and clarity, perfect for Sony's high-resolution cameras.
