The Pentax Optio VS20 is a stylish compact super-zoom digital camera that is great for portrait shots, travelling or as an everyday camera. It sports a 20x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide-angle, plus it has a unique second shutter button on the side for better ergonomics when taking photos in portrait orientation. The VS20 also incorporates a high-resolution 16 megapixel CCD sensor plus dual image stabilisation for beautifully sharp images. Auto Picture Mode delivers point-and-shoot simplicity of operation. And three new modes -Handheld Night Snap, Fish-eye and Sketch – deliver even more creative options.

Movie Feature – captures video with audio up to HD 1280x720 resolution at 30 frames per second. The maximum movie length is up to a file size of 2GB*. Movie SR (Shake Reduction) delivers smoother video stabilisation.

20x Optical Zoom Lens – cover a wide variety of subjects and scenes with an effective focal range of 28-560mm. From great people shots, landscapes, groups, architecture and tight interior shots; to distant subjects, wildlife, sports. Vertical Shutter Button and Zoom Lever – great for taking photos in portrait orientation, a second shutter button and zoom lever is located on the side of the camera, making easy to hold the camera steady whilst pressing the shutter button. 16 Megapixel CCD Sensor – high resolution imaging sensor delivers enough detail to print large or crop your images down without losing quality. Dual Image Stabilisation – CCD-shift plus digital image stabilisation helps to prevent blur cuase by camera shake as well as subject movement in low-light. Auto Picture Mode – analyses and automatically selects the most appropriate from 15 different shooting modes for a given subject or scene. Handheld Night Snap – take great shots at night time without the need for a tripod. Advanced Face Recognition System - The face recognition system of the Optio VS20 now had added functionality. You can now record a face in the system and later on, the camera will recognize this face and set focus and exposure on it. High Resolution 3 inch LCD – Bright 460,000-dot 3” LCD screen with anti-glare coating helps when taking and playing back photos and videos. Tools such as screen grid and digital level help with composition of photos. Smile Detection - automatically releases the shutter when a smile is detected in the frame Blink Detection Warning – warns if someone blinked during the photo so you can take another straight away. Digital Filters – range of filters to turn ordinary shots into something unique looking. Includes: B&W/Sepia, Toy Camera, Retro, Color, Extract Colour, Starburst, Soft, Fish-eye, Brightness, Miniature, Natural Skin Tone and Sketch. D-Range setting - prevents whitewashed (overexposed) and blacked-out (underexposed) areas in an image. Digital Panorama Mode - effortlessly create a single panoramic picture from as many as three images 1cm super macro – take stunning close-ups as near as 1cm from subject Wireless Remote-Control Shooting - when using an optional PENTAX F remote controller
