DIG!C 5 - Canon's newest processor gives you natural looking images with reduced noise and improved white balance, and high-speed performance.
3.0 inch LCD Screen - A clear 3.0” LCD is great for sharp previews and for composing your photos.
Creative Filters - Shoot with creative filters for an added effect: Fish Eye, Miniature, Toy Camera, Smooth Skin, Soft Focus, Monochrome, Super Vivid, Poster, Colour Accent and Colour Swap effects are available.
Intelligent Auto (58 scenes) - Improved Auto mode in both photo and video mode makes it even easier to get the perfect shot without having to fiddle around with menus.
Servo AF / Servo AE – Tracks your subject and locks the focus and exposure on the target.
Face ID (Face Identification) - works with Intelligent Auto to ensure that those who matter most to you always look their best in photos. By registering a person along with their age in the camera’s memory, the face will then be recognised and Intelligent Auto will automatically apply the most appropriate settings to capture a great shot, based on their age and activity, as well as the ambient scene.
Face ID Sorting - Makes it easier to sort collections of images including particular friends and family, each photo will also be tagged with the names of your registered faces, allowing you to search your images by name.
Movie Digest Function in HD – When Movie Digest mode has been selected, the four seconds preceding each image will be captured in a 720p HD video clip. Then all the clips from one day are combined into a movie bonus reel to tell the story behind a day’s or evening’s photos.
Smart Shutter – Includes a number of intelligent features such as Face Detection Self-timer, Smile Shutter and Wink Self Timer.
Optical Image Stabilisation - counteracts blurred images due to shaky hands or when shooting in low-light conditions. Also important at full zoom where a small movement of the hand can cause a lot of movement at the other end.
Intelligent Image Stabilisation - The camera will automatically choose the correct image stabilisation to use in different shooting situations
ISO to 3200 - this will help you take better photos in low lighting – reduces blur caused by camera shake or subject movement.
Intelligent Flash Exposure - Automatically detects whether flash is required and adjusts the flash output, shutter speed, aperture and ISO speed to best suit the photo being taken.
Red Eye Correction - this camera lets you fix red eyes in the camera, which is great if you're printing straight from the memory card or to a pictbridge compatible printer.
Blink Detection – warns you when someone blinks in the photo you have just taken
High Speed Burst Mode – shoot still photos up to 5.8fps (frames per second). Great for capturing action shots.
Mini HDMI output - High Definition movies can be viewed easily on a TV with optional mini HDMI -> HDMI cable (sold separately).
