Bowens most popular kit configurations are two-head kits. And the Gemini 500R/500R is no exception. These appeal to photographers buying studio lighting for the first time as well as photographers looking for exceptional value for money.
For more precise power control Gemini R Monolights are the ideal choice, featuring twin dials to adjust the power in exact stops or tenths of stops with power output displayed on the LED display. Power can also be controlled with the optional RC3 IR remote control (sold separately). Modelling control is also made simple with one switch: choose from full, proportional or off, or even set the modelling lamp to any level you desire. The Gemini R also features the ability to take a plug-in module to make it compatible with Pulsar or PocketWizard radio triggers (also all sold separately).
  
This two head kit includes two Gemini monolights with two Bowens lighting support stands. To control the light is an included Softbox and a silver/white umbrella, together with a wide-angle umbrella reflector. This creates a very easy-to-use and effective two-light setup. The umbrellas are perfect for portraiture and many still-life applications - the black cover can be removed allowing you to fire the light through the umbrella like a softbox. The kit also includes a sync lead for camera connection and all the power cables, modelling lamps and flash tubes. Everything is then packed into a single lightweight yet sturdy carrying case, with casters, for easy transportation.
The Gemini 500r monolight retains the unique ability to be powered from AC mains in the studio or the award-winning Travelpak battery unit (sold separately) out on location as well as boasting a range of new features designed to offer photographers not only ultimate freedom but unmatched power, durability and control too.
