The long-awaited PEN EP-1 compact Micro Four Thirds interchangeable lens digital camera is here! With picture quality comparable to much larger DSLR cameras, but with a sleek, modern-yet-classic retro styling the PEN EP-1 promises great photographs as well as HD movies all in a compact form factor. Featuring a 12.3 megapixel 4/3-inch Live MOS Sensor and new TruePic V image processing engine the new E-P1 provides pictures of exceptional tonality and detail, with an ISO capability of up to 6400 for available light photography. Two new compact design M.Zuiko Micro Four Thirds lenses complement the EP-1 as well as optional adapters to mount Four Thirds lenses and legacy OM lenses to the body. The PEN EP-1 incorporates a 230K 3.0” Hypercrystal LCD Screen with 176o field of view and has built-in image stabilisation, dust reduction, face detection, intelligent auto, ISO 6400, and allows the use of creative effects via its built-in Art Filters and Multiple Exposure mode. Movie Feature – captures high definition video with PCM stereo audio up to 1280x720p resolution at 30 frames per second. Maximum recording length is 7 minutes in HD or up to a file size of 2gb. Electronic image stabilisation functions during movie capture. Six Art Filter effects can be applied in the movie capture mode, and depth of field, angle of view and autofocus can all be varied during filming.
