The Nikon Coolpix S4 digital camera combines 6 megapixels with a 10 x optical and 4 x digital zoom. The Nikon Coolpix S4 camera features a dynamic swivel design to provide a more imaginative range of angles. The rechargeable AA batteries supplied with the Nikon Coolpix S4 will provide enough power for approximatley 290 shots per charge (see specifications). No Longer Available.
Special features of the Nikon S4
Take better quality pictures using Nikon’s unique Face-priority AF, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, Best Shot Selector mode and D-Lighting functions. With Face-priority AF, the cameras can automatically detect people’s faces in the frame, no matter where they are located, to produce sharply focused portraits. In-Camera Red-Eye Fix can detect the unfortunate red-eye effect that can sometimes happen in flash photography, then automatically compensate for it in-camera to produce more flattering results. D-Lighting (available in playback mode) enables users to improve images that are underexposed or taken with too much back light – creating a copy of the image with light and detail added where necessary and well-exposed parts left exactly the way they were. Best Shot Selector mode automatically chooses the least blurry image in a series shots while the Shutter button remains pressed.
Movie Feature - The Nikon Coolpix S4 digital camera allows you to record movies with sound at 15 frames per second. The Time-Lapse movie function can capture action taking place over extended periods of time such as the opening of a new flower.
